A message to Brent Prismall and Robbie Warnock.

Ha ha ha. Welcome to the blue boys Robbie. Wise choice.

Until you guys get better as a club, you're not gonna land anyone. The fact a player chooses not to come to the Dees doesn't make them weak or gutless, they're just looking after there best interests. I wouldn't move to a team that's going to be down the bottom of the ladder for five years either.

<_< I wonder what Kreuzer will be on next contract? Or Murphy? Or Gibbs? Stevo? Walker? Fev? And the Judd-ernaut? Will some of them be on as much as Warnock?? I cannot wait in 3 years time to see the Carlton crew scrambling once the Salary Cap limit has been breached again.....at least I hope that is the case....for they can then sing those 'Blues'. One thing is for certain, is that Carlton will go down in history forever with asterisks next to their name (* = cheats), whilst the Melbournefc will always be known as the original proudest and oldest club of the AFL, rich in history. One that has yielded 12 premierships and played in many successful era's (with NO asterisks mind you). Unlike Carlton who has bought their way to premierships every now and then. :D

Look this war of words could go on for a long time but i'm pretty sure with Icke and Swann in charge our salary cap is in very safe hands. Safer hands then the revolving door that is Melbourne Footy Club footy department.

With a departing Ackland who was on 300k a year and the majority of our team on practically base wages, 400k to secure a player who has already played senior footy, has a shitload of development left and will top off a very promising ruck division in the future is a good move. I expect Warnock to hold his own next year. Much better then waiting 4 for years (2 of them at 55k base pay a year, and the next two on 200k if they're even good enough to be re-signed). Not to mention the thousands and thousands of dollars that would go into developing a 17yo kid in the first place. 400k isn't cheap, but a bargain when you take in the needs of our club. We don't have time to wait those years.

Carlton have the footy department in place, the talent in place, and soon we'll have the facilities in place aswell.

Dwelling on the past is merely a way for other supporters to continue to bag out a young, exciting club that is clearly gonna be a force in the near future.

As bleak as it is, look to the future Dees, just like we had to do for years. Then be as happy as i am now to see your club climb out of the turmoil and threaten the league again.

[DELETED] Danny, one warning only. As a supporter from another Club I suggest you be very careful with your further posts on this site. Refer Code of Conduct for further reference. - Moderators

i hope our climbing skills are better than carlton because u sure have sucked for quite some time

and he wouldve chosen melbourne if we offered him more $$$...its about the dough, not the club

Make the finals and then come back and talk to us.

You've been nothing since 2002.

It's not dwelling on the past as I see it, it's just bringing a few facts to light of what has happened at Carlton.

Yes, well make the most of it while you can, because we won't be as far behind Carltank as what you might think,......

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
