I dont know how we could get him without trading 1.17 or 19

but i really think we should be looking at him. 26 years old, theres at LEAST 4 years there. i rated him on par with robbie campbell, it was interesting hawks 'rested' him cos to be honest, renouf's so called 'agression' and mobility didn't do much for me in the finals series

well worth looking at to assist PJ in 2009 ruck duties, as Jamar is crap

Persist with Jamar, PJ and Spencer unless we pick up Vickery or a Roughhead. Meesen is the crapest!

Agree. We should look ar drafting Roughead at say 19, with only 4 years in Taylor he isn't worth trading. Let's persist with PJ and hopefully Spencer can come on also.

Not for me, too old. Unless the ruckmen concerned are really good like Cox or a Petrie who can be effective as a tap ruckman but can also be good around the ground and up forward, they are 'somewhat' over-rated.

Agree

dont need him!!

PJ is a good payer and we have jamar for another year i think due to contract....

in tha time lets hope spencer steps up....

more important things to go after.... a straight out tap ruckman like taylor would be no good to us

Hawthorn will charge for him, and to be honest he is not good enough to move anything decent for.

Would take him for a 5th round draft selection. Hawthorn would not do that.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.
