Jeff Farmer retires

Featured Replies

Just think, we could talk Farmer & Nathan Ablet out of retirement and pick up Didak, Shaw & Cousins and add a psychiatrist, spin-doctor & QC to our staff. We could keep Carrol then too. Did I miss anyone? Barry Hall's not out there is he? I don't know if we'd play better but the team would have a lot of character and higher profile.

If you made up a team of loons, would Moony & S Anderson be in there too?

I take it you're a halfwit

Jeff farmer is one of my favourite players if he was more consistant on the field he would have been a star.

I am very lucky to have scored the 33 jernsey from the 2000 grand final with all the teams signatures one to treasure scored it from david shwartz on a job i was doing about 5 years ago .

All the best to the wizard whatever he does in the future

Hey, I'm a Morissette fan and a 1/2 wit! Isn't it ironic - (now I think that's a rhetorical question so should it have a "?" or a "."?) ./?

How bout his Goal out at Waverly against Hawthorn in the Rain. 2000 i think. Ran Half the Field. I hope the Wiz visits Mellbourne again in time. Deep Down I know he is still a Demon. I always gave it to him when he played t the 'G in a shockers Jumper! only because i always wanted him to be a one Club Man. The Demon Flag on Canterbury Road was Hung in Honour of the Wiz. When he left that Family went into Mourning!!

The 9 in the second half against the Pies is one of my all-time MFC highlights. Was the most dire first half of footy. Ender Farmer:

- Kicked 9 straight

- Took an amazing hanger (BT's commentary of "Ohh FARMER... THAT'S RIDICULOUS" was memorable).

- Went back to have a shot for 10 straight....and missed.

Brilliant

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
