agree grimesy- bartram has to go

Hes a good athlete. Got a nice leap and a good engine.

But not the skill or smarts to be an elite player.

Ship him off, whilst hes of some worth.

I agree, its been getting more and more obvious to me, he really has too many limitations at this level..

While I am not enamored with Bartram, what would a poorly performing player who struggles in a bottom side with diabolical disposal be worth on the market? Very little. His youth and his engine dont hide the fact to other Clubs that Bartram does not hurt you with the ball. He is a 3rd round pick at best.

He has zero worth on the trade market. He's on the list next year like it or not, so as far as I'm concerned, he should be given every opportunity to prove he's useful at the highest level, and if he fails he should be delisted. He'll either make it here or make it nowhere.

Many rate him on his first year when the club did well in '06. He was a tagger, negator that year. He did not punish sides with the ball in his hands. Now the side is performing shockingly, bartram is under the microscope like never before. He got picked up at 60. That is about where he is at even today.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
