Chook 15,088 Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 That's great, although I wonder where Brad Miller is.
The Emblem 1 Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 That's great, although I wonder where Brad Miller is. On the Interchange bench Chook.
Rogue 585 Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 For what it's worth, four Melbourne players were named: Wing: Paul Wheatley (Melbourne) – Continued his underrated season with one of his best performances in the red and blue. Wheatley managed a career-best 31 disposals and led the way in contested possessions with 11. He also laid five tackles. Wing: Brad Green (Melbourne) – Showed why he was recently elevated back into Melbourne's leadership group with a stirring display for the Demons. He put his body on line with great consistency as he collected 30 touches and 15 marks. FP: Colin Sylvia (Melbourne) – Sylvia has been a focal point since the re-jigging of Melbourne's forward line after the retirement of David Neitz and injury to Russell Robertson. And he delivered with a fine four-goal performance against the Lions – a personal best. INT: Brad Miller (Melbourne) – Set the tone for Melbourne's second win of the season with three first-quarter goals before kicking the match-winner after a contested mark with only 90 seconds remaining. It was a commanding performance.
wisedog 352 Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 Great idea. Good to see the dees get some recognition.
Chook 15,088 Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 On the Interchange bench Chook. Oh. Okay. Silly me.
robbo24 66 Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Oh. Okay. Silly me. How did we win by 1 point, but yet there were no Brisbane players in the team? Luke Power was dominant and surely deserved a spot
Tim 3,564 Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 How did we win by 1 point, but yet there were no Brisbane players in the team? Luke Power was dominant and surely deserved a spot Interesting to see on Footy Confidential that Chris Johnson got a combined 5 votes from the 2 coaches.
