Juice Newton 0 Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 I love neita, and i love what he has done for the club. i am not saying that he should have retired, nor that we should leave him out of the side, rather; Will our forward line function better in the future without him??

Of course it functions better without him. But fair go, he is what, 33 years old? Nothing lasts forever.
Juice Newton 0 Posted May 5, 2008 Author Posted May 5, 2008 by the way, is juice newton the player to replace him, or should we turn to somebody else??
mick2007 0 Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 If Miller plays like he did yesterday all year you won't see Neitz back in a hurry
Sir Why You Little 37,458 Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 If Miller plays like he did yesterday all year you won't see Neitz back in a hurry Miller at C H F as far as I am Concerned
AzzKikA 2,371 Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 Quite simply...YES. I love Neita but i think if he was playing on Sunday, we would not have won.
Demons 32 235 Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 If Neitz was playing with that delivery in the 2nd half he would have kicked 6 and we would all be talking about our insperational leader. Just like Robbo, he can't do a thing with the way our midfield has been playing.
PhilReadFury 1 Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 by the way, is juice newton the player to replace him, or should we turn to somebody else?? I cant see Newton filling the void left by Neitz. I see Newton as more af a Sean Smith; able to take a MASSIVE mark and kick the occasional goal, but will never take the game by the scruff of the neck. Not sure what it is about Newton, but he has far from convinced me to date.
deanox 10,070 Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 im not sure if this is correct or backed up by any facts, but i believe miller plays better when neitz is not in the team. miller isnt a great long kick, but when neitz is out he is allowed to drift back closer to goal occasionally where he can snare a couple. even though his game yesterday was still based around the leading CHF role, he had more freedom which adds a second dimension to his game. he is also a better mark when one on one (not much for pack marking) so the lack of neitz up forward means he is more chance of being one out.
Gouga 570 Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 If Neitz was playing with that delivery in the 2nd half he would have kicked 6 and we would all be talking about our insperational leader. Just like Robbo, he can't do a thing with the way our midfield has been playing. As long as our midfield is on top almost any forward structure will work. I think Bate and Miller working hard accross half forward with Neitz and Robbo deep and Aussie and Davey crumbing is a winning forward line. Bate is a great kick and Neitz will benefit having him back.
