Hooray for over 1 in the weighting!!! Poor Jonesy, puts a shocker in the one time it'd help him!!

For what its worth (which I know is nothing now!!)......

6. Brad Miller (and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed typing that)

5. Brock McLean

4. Austin Wonaemirri

3. Aaron Davey

2. Brad Green

1 Cameron Bruce

Apologies to just about every one else out there, especially our defence, Garland, Rivers, Warnock and Frawley I thought were all great.

You would have loved the idiot behind me who, in the first quarter, decided to abuse Miller as he ran past.

Did I enjoy giving it to her after he kicked his third for the day!! :D

She was a [censored], similar to many other Miller haters who are just obsessed with the failure of one of their own.

You have my full and undivided congratulations for your enjoyment Jaded, keep up the good work......

And I am probably not particularly bright (or way too loyal) but I continue to not be able understand that total hatred some seem to have for anyone in our team, let alone the enjoyment many seem to get if particular players (well lets be honest this applies to Brad in particular) do something wrong.

The irony is she probably went home disappointed in his excellent performance  !!!

Congratulations to Millsy on his clear BOG (for us, anyway - Pav was probably better).

I hope Miller builds his confidence asfter this game and continues to attack the footy in marking contests. His challenge is to do it regularly, and not just show enough to raise hopes and then drop off again.

I thought Bate was superb, especially the way he recovered from that spate of errors. He has a massive engine and keeps giving.

Anyone who didn't give Cam votes is absolutely kidding themselves. Cameron Bruce was one of the key reasons we got up yesterday. He imposed himself on contests and gave us a heap of drive. I think he made a couple of errors in leaving his man and getting drawn into the contest, and his disposal wasn't perfect, but he was easily in our best 3.

Brock McLean needs to get to the bottom of more contests. I thought his first half was disgraceful - and his possessions meaningless. He answered back in the second half, but I thought his game was mediocre at best.

Well said Rhino.

The sniffling country member at his best.

Your obsession with me is becoming dangerous.

I fear for your mental health.

Yes, his problem is that he is not on the bottom of enough contests

What are people watching?

No sniffler!

The way you cannot see how the p>>s is being taken out of you

just makes it even more enjoyable.

I think moloney has absolutely no place in the team. he got lucky late in the game. Iwould much prefer Yze forward or valenti onball.

Your wrong.

If you watch the replay you will change your mind. He got three very handy in and under clearances in the last quarter that were invaluable. Add those to he's very good opportunistic roving goal and he's 50 metre kick to Davey at the top of the square which resulted in a goal.

I noticed that also.

He only knew about Bailey giving Moloney a spray because he saw it on the channel 7 telecast.

I get the impression he has not been to game all year and is not even a Melbourne member.

Have I misunderstood?

Did you not go to the game yesterday Y_M?

Why do I get the feeling you purchased an MFC pet membership for yourself, so you can tell everyone you are a 'member'.

Be gone with, lightweight.

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?

  • FEATURE: 1925

A hundred years ago today, on 2 May 1925, Melbourne kicked off the new season with a 47 point victory over St Kilda to take top place on the VFL ladder after the opening round of the new season.  Top place was a relatively unknown position for the team then known as the “Fuchsias.” They had finished last in 1923 and rose by only one place in the following year although the final home and away round heralded a promise of things to come when they surprised the eventual premiers Essendon. That victory set the stage for more improvement and it came rapidly. In this series, I will tell the story of how the 1925 season unfolded for the Melbourne Football Club and how it made the VFL finals for the first time in a decade on the way to the ultimate triumph a year later.
