    A combination of 17.4.3 (b) and (c).

For the free paid in their 50 The umpire called it a block on the video so it’s rule (c) then. But what is a block? The opposing smaller ruck was airborne when Max puts an arm up to prevent him cannoning into his body. So you can’t protect yourself under section c from an opponent jumping into you?

I thought the definition of a ruck duel block would be where you move into the opposing rucks runup and prevent him from getting airborne and to the fall of the ball

Went out for dinner with the wife and another couple last night and joined by WJ who was solo with his wife away.

I actually thought it was basil Fawlty's restaurant.

    The service didn't exist.

No fish or veal as they ran out at 7.00pm.

My wife's meal came 1 hour after the rest of us got ours and was inedible.

WJ and mine came about 20 minutes after the other couple got theirs'.

I actually started to look around for a camera.

As we walked out another table had half the people eating and the other half waiting for their meal.

Lastly we spoke to another table who had been waiting over an hour for something to eat.

I should have gone into the kitchen to say hello to Basil and Manuel.

At least be thankful you didn’t have any Germans dining with you at the time!

  3. I thought we had been trying to find one, big time, Bedford, Lockhart, Chandler, Hannan, Melschem, Spargo, Dunkley to go with Garlett, ANB....

not sure how many we need but we do need a couple who can really play the role. I really like Lockhart and have hopes for Bedford and we know Hannan and Melk can play. But I don’t want to use too many more picks searching for another speculative one or two!

  4. Didn’t see Max at training this morning. Greg Stafford doing a lot of ruck work with Pruess and the mids. Dunkley working with the mids. Jones not doing much, just helping the coaches. Only saw the last 15 mins of a short session so don’t know if Max was out earlier.

Brisbane are a very polished settled side with a fantastic midfield. 14 of their players have played every game this year. This has allowed them to grow together, be very cohesive and have a very settled line up. We have all known that Hipwood is a gun.

In contract Hore, Lockhart and Baker are first year players and Petty in his second year has 5 games to his name. In the last 2 weeks the opposition have played through Petty taking advantage of his inexperience. He is a good mark reads the play well but hasn't got the strength or poise yet and turns it over. Hipwood took him apart in the third and the start of the fourth and if you watch the vision, it was May who asked frosty to go to Hipwood. Poor form from the coaches box to not make the move in the third and idiotic to leave hime there at the start of the last. I also think the long season may be catching up with More and I like Lockhart and bake has a go. Lets not forget Smith has played 11 games and if he was the answer he would have played a lot more than that.

Compounding all that our mids got smashed today. Neale, Lyons and Zork tore us to shreds and won so many centre clearances we could easily have lost by a lot more. The deficiencies are plain to see I hope we can recruit to fill them.

Yes could not believe that they left Petty on Hipwood that long, let’s destroy the kid! I was at the game screaming for the Frost switch. We seemed to have mismatches all day down back with May then Frost on Cameron. And yes we lost it at the centre clearances 20 to 6 but I think the six was generous. First time I have seen that post Neeld!

The week before I' made 39, had to hole out at 4 o'clock to get to my cousin's wedding...

The captain never liked me. This was the late mid 60's, Germans weren't supposed to play cricket and I'm sure that had something to do with it.

Did you ever take a Gerry ‘atrick Dieter?
