Yes he could be valuable to have around the club but we can't just kick out Royal and replace him with an unproven/qualified coach. I hope we do try and bring him to the club but if we want him to be a midfield coach we should have him get some experience/training first

Agree with many on here that Strauss should be playing ahead of either nico or bail - Nicho is not going to be part of our future so why bother putting valuble games into him? Should have given him at least another game - he doesn't win a whole lot of the ball but works hard defensivly and when he does get it uses it well. Had a couple nice runs through the centre and probably quicker than Nicho. His VFL form has shown that he is just to good for that level so he should at least be given a few consecutive games - it worked for Tappy

I feel for Goodes but appluad the way he went about it. Maybe if one could find a positive from this it's the awarness and response that has followed. I regret to admit that before this event I had given little thought to the idea of racism in AFL. It has alerted me to the issue and I am sure it has alerted many others. I know we are dealing with the minority in todays society although maybe now action can be taking to rid AFL of these people and culture. I think this event will make that minority think twice before making racist remarks in the future.

I noticed he had a significant limp before last weeks game - think I read something about him having a limp on here and shrugged it off butt what kind of injury would cause such an obvious limp? Maybe if he can sort that out he will gain a yard of pace - he looked like a very slow Davey

I think it's mainly because not many Dee supporters would get to watch Casey games and therfore the club is trying to keep the supporters up to date. And also it would be pretty hard to make many positive statements/reviews on players performance - I guess we have the Craig report though. We already get a 100 page report on here every week anyway but it would be nice to here player reviews from Neeld each week (even if it is just fluff!)

The draft used to provide a relief from on field performances but now I just don't want to get wrapped up in the draft anymore. I just can't get really excited about a draftee now knowing that we will have to wait 5 years to see any results and even then they could be a dud! (Morton, Watts etc) ...... But this was a nice article
