  1. Agreed but the Wiz often found himself a long way from home - never stopped him though just meant he had to run a little further (the length of the ground).
  2. If Sam Blease is our gut runner then we are in trouble. Are you sure he said gut runner and not designated runner or something. I always thought a gut runner was someone who bust their gut running all day. Watts - don't think so (doesn't seem like he has the right work ethic) Trengove - provided everyone else has broken legs Cross - probably a bit old Grimes - doesn't have much speed Hogan ?
  3. Phew - I thought this was a bring back Newton thread. Sorry couldn't help myself
  4. He better go easy on our boys - those kids are pretty good. Best thing about the videos is I didn't hear the work KPI's.
  5. Would have to wait till the end of next season for Ling though - he has a leadership role with North Melbourne.
  6. Yep - with a third round pick.
  7. Agreed - forward pocket isn't just a position for rotating midfielders. I think it would be worth looking into getting a true forward pocket - small, agile quick, defensive and very clean. A decent small forward would be easier to acquire than a mid. I don't think its the most important of position to fill just yet. We could try getting one with a late pick in this draft or in next years draft or next years trade period. As said I don't see Kent as a forward pocket long term - probably a mid/wingman maybe a high forward. Jetta and Byrnes fill the position for now. Small forwards aren't that hard to come by so I wouldn't get Nahas if he has a question mark over his head.
  8. We could try and steal Essendons sponsors while their down.
  9. Manager Player Personnel? - does that consist of having half the draftees living in your home? Love the Viney family and their commitment to the club. Feeding Hogan would be a full time job in its self.
  10. Hard to get info or footage of this guy but he is a mid and it would be nice to add another mid with a couple years work under their belt. Does anyone know if GWS wants to give him a contract or is he going to probably be delisted? If he is better than Nicho or Jetta than I am all for it.
  11. Yep - just need to offer him decent coin and of course tell him that he is more likely to get a game with us.
  12. Okay so I assume he is uncontracted otherwise we wouldn't be talking about him and PSD 2. So I guess we just convince him to walk from GWS?
  13. I can't find anything on this kid. Has he been delisted or is he out of contract?
  14. Then why would he fall through to the PSD then? (serious question) Surely can't be any worse than Nicho or a doomed Bail.
  15. Yet he is happy with Sydney paying $3000 a day for Buddy on a 9 year deal. I think he needs to clean his glasses!
  16. Barret gave us a "D+" for our trade period. [censored]! Kept saying we gave away pick 2 for Tyson - I don't think he knows it was a bit more complicated then that. The other guy gives Sydney a "D" and Barret says "I think that's a little harsh..... they landed Buddy" Wearing glasses doesn't make you smart Barret!
  17. "Frosty" - that would have been a good nickname for Neeld.
  18. Another Swan! Welcome Frosty! http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2013-10-25/mcpherson-completes-coaching-staff MELBOURNE has appointed former Sydney Swans defender/midfielder Daniel McPherson as its new forward line coach. “Daniel has previously worked at the Sydney Swans under Paul Roos as a development coach and coached the Swans reserves. He’s also worked with the New South Wales under 18s.” "In 2007, McPherson became a runner for Roos at the Swans in a part-time position. In 2008, he joined the Swans full time, working as a development coach with Brett Allison, who also recently joined the Demons." Meanwhile, Melbourne has appointed former backline development coach and Bulldog player Andrew Nichol to the position of player development manager What do people think?
  19. Our time on trade radio people - get on there
  20. I think you misinterpreted my post. I was not paying out Watts only making a joke about the whole drafting friends idea. I think it is wrong to pay out a 20 year old in Scully for making a very tough decision - he was offered security for not only himself but his family and seemed to be on the outer at Melbourne. Yes maybe he didn't go about it in the best way but he was a 20 year old and made a decision that most 20 year olds would. To attack Scully is tight but to attack his family is just low. We won out of it in the end so move on.
  21. I hope so for your sake - otherwise you will look a little silly.
  22. Maybe a bad metaphor but you get the idea.
  23. Holy *****! Surely there must be a few strings attached that they may have forgotten to mention. Is their new home ground in India? Do they have to do Demetrious washing?
  24. How about you go and pick on Bail. If you want to improve this club you can get rid of Nicho, Pedo, Byrnes, Bail, Jetta etc. first.
