Demon Head replied to Mel Bourne's topic in Melbourne Demons
What about replacing it with a bionic prosthetic toe? -

Robbo thinks it was a good idea to cut ties - Robbo: Melbourne was right to get tough and trade ‘soft’ fan favourite Jack Watts

The Devon Smith deal comes across as most unusual given that nobody would entertain involving pick 11in a Watts deal.

Beamer opens up about Neeld relationship.
Demon Head replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
Beamer was a Bailey man through and through and the story goes that he was disgruntled before Neeld walked in the door. Apparently, made that clear at the 2011 B & F so it was no surprise that they couldn't see eye to eye. -
I drove past this morning and it looked as if training was back on in earnest. Anyone go?

If you could name one player at the club who will improve by leaps and bounds in 2017, he would be ???

It's been a bad week or so for the Brayshaw clan with James getting boned and Hamish missing out on being drafted. Hopefully, Angus makes up for both of them.

Retired Tiger Reece McKenzie slams Richmond in stunning Facebook post An extraordinary outburst from a young kind obviously distraught about not making it.

And for the same reason Jack Viney can keep 7.

If the blog's an example, the book is a must. Wry humour and at incisive in dealing with the subject.

After watching Matt Burgan's interview with Josh Mahoney on the MFC site, I'm almost certain that we will upgrade one of our two remaining rookies with our third pick instead of using 84. Just got the feeling from how he spoke.

Everything seems to have gone quiet. I think he might be a better candidate to get across than a Rockliff, both from a cost POV and also fits the no [censored] rule a bit better.

THE BOMBERS' DOPING SAGA - THE FAT LADY SINGS

Yet another job for another person at Bomberland at the time of the injection regime. Not particularly a good look for the AFL, is it? -

It would have to put them strongly back in contention for a top four spot.

Trade and Free Agency: The Top 10 Trade Stories
Demon Head replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
He is in this article AFL Trade Rumours: Vickery given a lifeline and North's revolutionary new strategy. Also mentions the Jesse Hogan/Nat Fyfe switch, Tyrone Vickery to Hawthorn and Mitch Brown (Collingwood) to North Melbourne speculation. -
Surprised there's such scant interest in this game. For starters, the team has been going along fantastically over the past month easily beating all and sundry, gets up to a 33 point lead and then falls apart to score just one goal in the second half (from eight shots at goal) when the game was there to be won. A couple of hours later, Melbourne falls apart in similar fashion and kicks just one goal in the last quarter (from seven shots at goal) when the game was there to be won. Probably coincidence but a little uncanny.

Whatever the result on Sunday, Demon fans will be left wondering whether their glass is half full or half empty after season 2016. On the one hand, they have seen the improvement and development from a young side growing in stature and reaching the double figure mark in wins for the first time in a decade. On the other hand, they will look upon the opportunities lost in terms of the four games against fellow bottom six teams from last year squandered - Essendon, St Kilda (twice) and Carlton. These were all winnable games where they team performed abysmally, which were marked by turnovers, poor decision making and woeful disposal. Turn those games around and you make the finals. Against Geelong at Geelong, a game that means a hell of a lot less to Melbourne than the Carlton (a team which had lost nine in a row) at the MCG of last week, I wonder which Demon team will come out?

If North and Dogs are 2 best teams in it ...
Demon Head replied to whers_jacka_now's topic in Melbourne Demons
North are consistent - if we get rid of our tendency to lapse badly and string a few wins together, you never know what we can do. -
Everything about the game is substandard. Disposal, marking, decision making and of course, the umpiring.
