  1. Please. Do me a favour and be specific. Refresh my memory.
  2. FCS... RR & rjay think they are bloody revolutionaries... You're nothing but anarchists.
  3. Right, so simpletons that know no better think Schwab is all to blame. The media love to hang someone - anyone - out to dry, then pick apart the carcass. In fact, they sense a weakness in our many weak-minded supporters, and they pounce. You can make grand statements, but it doesn't make you right, nor intelligent. I understand people power can force change, but that doesn't mean the people aren't incredibly stupid sheep.
  4. Not at all. You just won't elaborate on your comment of him being on "restricted of limited duties." It's a fabrication. And you won't provide any evidence to that effect because there is none. You're talking s&@t.
  5. Being "good enough" is irrelevant. Was it his place? The president made a statement. Do you need to CEO to do the same thing? Why? Isn't this just another pointless and weak excuse for criticism?
  6. Rubbish. You're making things up to back up a flimsy ill-considered argument.
  7. This is utter rubbish. Please provide evidence that he is "on light or restricted duties." This is a fabrication. Also that he is hiding. I wouldn't expect him to make knee-jerk reactionary announcements about onfield performance after 1 loss. Would you really?
  8. But I had RR completely on the ropes with his absurd scattershot criticism! Now he gets to hide. Sad face.
  9. It's not about defending it, and it's foolish to keep harping on trying to. Yet you stick to it, cos you think it's some sort of argument you can win. "This club is dying" are your words, and pure hyperbole. I won't waste my time with it. And "have you stopped beating your wife yet?" is a commonly known phrase. I suggest you look it up, but don't blame me for your lack of education. You are a disgrace, and clearly an ignorant one.
  10. Says you... Who has NFI what role he was asked to play, and what KPIs he was being judged on to assess his readiness to return to AFL level. It never ceases to amaze me the ignorance & naivety some posters display...
  11. I've said for a long time: we will not be competitive again until Grimes, Trengove, etc are the mature senior players, and the old guard are gone. These players are still in their infancy. More pain to come.
  12. Well that's it, isn't it? We're kidding ourselves to think we were better. What has changed since last season when we got regularly spanked? Round 1 was the perfect storm, but I'll give you the hot tip: it's not going to get much better as the season goes on.
  13. You like making definitive statements so you can sound like you were right, don't you? Not much substance in your posts nor any solutions, though.
  14. For those that keep criticising Neil Craig... HE IS NOT A GAMEDAY COACH.
  15. Don't you see that replacing the players is not the answer? The "infection" is mental, and will just be passed on the newcomers. Change is happening. It takes time.
  16. Such pathetic form. You really concede defeat that easily? You show the intestinal fortitude the players had on Sunday. HTFU and stop fear-mongering.
  17. I like the passion and love for the club shown by so many with so many extreme reactions, but my god, a lot of it is poorly directed. Home truths... Well, I think the beards & haircuts are largely horrible aesthetically, but completely inconsequential in regards to football. I believe we are on the right track. I believe the players have had it drilled into them that if they put the work in on the track, and focus on getting the processes right, then wins will follow. I think the players felt like they had already done the hard work, and weren't prepared mentally for what Port threw at them. Like most of us, they expected to be playing a rabble. I believe Neeld has shown good signs and evidence of being able to change the club culture for the good. We are still in the early stages of that. I believe it is possible that Neeld may be an awful gameday coach, or more suited to the football manager role, but we've not yet seen anywhere near enough evidence to make an educated decision on that. I believe our supporters' expectations have been unrealistic in regards to our new recruits. We didn't swindle the teams we made trades with. We didn't significantly upgrade in talent. We just achieved a better balance in our list. I believe the players we recruited were targeted in some cases for character and work ethic, to build a culture, in spite of what they may lack on the field. I believe the team lost its way, heads dropped, and the domino effect got us. It happens to many a good team along the way. Happened to the cats against the pies in 2008/9. We've just (predictably) suffered it more often and extreme. But those that think this is the worst lost since Northey's days, are caught up in hyperbole. I expect those unwilling to work hard to be dropped. I expect hard workers lining up to take those places. I expect an unwavering desire to chase and win the footy next week from all players, and any that don't to be dropped. I expect serious change. And I expect this to happen again in the near future, as it does to young teams. But I expect it to happen with increasingly less frequency.
  18. Great photo. While Pedersen is behind Ebert, Pittard is not far behind Pedersen, and could easily be Pedersen's man, but Ped is coming to pick up the loose Ebert. Can't tell from a photo. No excuse Lynden Dunn, and Sylvia has been comprehensively out positioned by Hartlett (who is a star, btw).
  19. Depends on what you're trying to achieve, I guess.
  20. Not resulting in clearances, but I saw him win plenty of taps. I think it had more to do with the blokes who were meant to be at his feet.
  21. That's not what you said. You said: So which is it? Failed coach & should have gone with youth, but didn't in trying to save a failed coach? Or list was already crap because of poor recruiting (in which case, how could the coach have succeeded?)? Heavily revisionist about Bailey, too.
  22. Good for you P man. I'm concerned about the types of posters you do respect, though. In future, please put more thought into your responses. Ta.
  23. I don't think you properly understand the purpose for which those mature players were brought to the club, nor the impact the youth strategy has had on the club in the recent past. Btw, did you see how Matt Jones went yesterday..?
  24. Since you don't understand the concept of rhetorical questions, and hilariously fumbled around trying the answer them, I'll give you a response... Bulldogs? Yes, that is also a false economy. They were crap last year, and 1 swallow does not a summer make. Haha the "early evidence" of 1 match suggests "complete transformation"?! Comedy gold. "Putting someone on notice" IS common terminology... But what does it mean in this sense? Really, it's an honest question, and one that would be great for you answer & think about. Culture at the club has been putrid for a hell of a lot longer than 12-18 months. Short memory? Wouldn't surprise me judging from some of your other responses. Try 7+ years. Longer. The team has gone backwards from Round 1 last year..? Easy to say. But in what way? How so? Neeld is struggling to coach? A team that was putrid before he came on board? Or Neeld is having a hard time coaching a list than other men built and he has been given the lengthy and laborious task of recreating in his own image? What evidence do you have for us being a mid-table team? Or that the coach is the problem? Have you ever done an in-depth analysis of the list, as individuals or overall? Why is Round 7 the deadline for "final judgment" on Neeld? What do you realistically expect him to be able to change between now and then? No excuses, just rational thought. I expect and demand improvement, but within reason.
