According to some on here Tom Boyd is a hack yet our players who have minimum five years behind them are.....

With regards to Michie/Newton/Riley and the like. I think it's only fair that for the remainder of the season they are given a block of games to show their wares similar to Spencer/Gawn rather then in - out - in - out. Other players have been given years all be it under different coaches.

I know respect is a two way street but the old "clubman" line is wearing thin.

Delistings/trades at end of the season
All comes down to what he's on, if he's on 350-400 ( purely a guess as he was captain and "had potential", because I'm stuffed if I know how we even spend 92.5% of the cap) we need to offload him. Can't have a depth player chewing up that much coin.

Delistings/trades at end of the season
Firstly how much is left on his contract has to be a factor. Secondly is there another VB out there.

Grimes dropped again, who'd want him and what would we get? To be honest we all thought we had a player when we drafted him. He was Vic Metro captain but for whatever reason you choose to believe he is clearly not part of the coaching groups plans. Yes he's contracted for next year but as we know Goodwin will be part of list management discussions so he doesn't have the luxury of the new coach coming in. Get over the fact he's gone and think about what we can get.

I don't work in an office I work in construction, I've worked with blokes who have nearly died, one bloke has lost his right arm another bleeding on the brain and possible limited mobility for the rest of his life. Sorry what was your point again?

Delistings/trades at end of the season
I think you'll find the club is no longer handing out buckets of cash to underperforming players. Some will find this hard to take and look elsewhere.....good luck with that.

We are talking about elite sportsman playing an elite game. They put their hands up for the big dollars, criticism whether it be constructive or not comes with that.

Grimes is contracted until the end of next season.

I like it. Sad thing is many don't see Grimes and Watts as fringe players. Last nights game showed they don't have it in them, more than enough chances, must go. I'd even sound out a Lions/Carlton with regards to Dawes, but I think we'll be stuck with him next year.

Josh Lyon - is the son of a gun a gun?
Two forward pockets and a half back flanker......nice.

Isn't he demanding 600k for cameo appearances?

Jack Watts
You're right, he should have dropped ages ago. Made to earn his spot , he has been spoilt , gifted games , that's the only mismanagement.

Jack Watts
What are you going on about? Ablett left the cats or is that differant. He left for money and missed out on a flag. Do you mean the leadership group which has tolerated sub standard performances for years? Another post has already stated some of his best football has been under Neeld. Running away won't make him stronger. If we can get a suitable trade then so be it.

Jack Watts
I think your right about north. A big if , but should we get a priority pick package it up with Watts then we have some bargaining power. Opposition players have to agree to the trade which may be a problem in some cases. Peter Jackson wasn't hired to sit on his hands , would love to have his office bugged.
