Was about to post this in the pre game thread Kev. Looks like Gus might stay back and JJ to the guts after seeing that little exercise.

In the last 15 mins the team has been working on a turnover drill. Team with the ball would link up a few times with handballs to the wing, coach would yell turnover and the defending team would now rebound with a switch to the corridor then inside 50 to a leading player. May is moving unrestricted to me.

Boys are having a run at Goschs. May is out there. Out of the emergencies, T Mac and Melksham are also there. On the other side of the field a few Casey boys training with Kozzie and Schache.

On what we’ve seen the last two years I’d say it’s more to the un-like Melbourne side of things. The Lions game was the first game since start of 2021 where we were comprehensively beaten for the first 3 quarters and found ourselves trailing by almost 50 points. That is the biggest deficit we have seen since 2020 ended. Last year we had decent leads in all our losses except Geelong from memory. But if we front up like we did last Friday night we are toast.

Won't be for a while, but I'd love to see Sestan give selectors a bit of a headache. I like the cut of his jib.

I hope their day is as miserable as it was in the GF. Go Demons!

Football is a funny game and it certainly plays tricks with your brain. Only a week ago most were predicting a comprehensive win against the Lions on their turf. Now, a few days after a poor display people by our high standards and the loss of the skip people are salivating at Sydney's odds. I'm expecting a big response.
