  1. Pies fans one day, Carlton the next. Can’t wait
  2. Feels like I’ve rewatched Dumb and Dumber the last two nights.
  3. Come on folks, let’s regroup. It ain’t over ‘til it’s over. There’s an open training session on Sunday at Gosch’s from 11:30am. Take your kids if they missed out last Wednesday cause it could be over next week, but it won’t be.
  4. When they say ‘football act’ in regards to a smother it takes me back to Matty Whelan diving to smother and unfortunately breaking Nathan Brown’s leg. To me, Maynard dipping the shoulder into Gussy’s face isn’t a football act.
  5. Anyone have footage of May and Maynard after the siren? May was certainly animated.
  6. Mark Williams is a complete spud is he? I thought you were better than that.
  7. 9.6!!! They kicked 9.6 and held on... FMD. I thought the winning team from last night would have one hand on the cup, I don't think so now. Problem with Thursday night games is the little sleep you get and you're still wired lol. Missed opportunity for sure and it hurts. Might get another 90k next week if it's Caaaarlton.
  8. I understand everyone is frustrated, but this is one ugly postgame. Love the folks that came back here after a loss just to wind people up. This one is stinging a fair bit because the game was on our terms since half way through the second quarter. 25 points down at the last change in a low scoring affair is a massive lead, but you could sense our supporters knew it wasn’t over and we nearly got there. May and Maynard had a very interesting exchange in the middle of the ground after the game, a lot of pointing going on. Let’s not give up on the boys and hopefully a lot of us turn up next week.
  9. This is the latest tally from PreGame/Game day threads. Rain/Weather mentions : 267 Spew Gifs/Vomit Emojis/Chucking mentions :199 Undercover seating map : 1
  10. Just do what I did a short time ago layz, no way I can do a full day.
  11. The 2018 finals were big for the club and fans, but the game tonight feels like it’s the biggest for the MFC at the MCG since the lead up to the 2000 GF.
  12. Well done to all of you involved with the sausage puns, was always going to be Pig in after that. Let’s Go Demons!!!
  13. Apologies if posted elsewhere. This might make some breathe a little easier when it comes to our forward line. https://www.afl.com.au/news/1024854 Melbourne can be just as effective no matter which seven players are ahead of the ball.
  14. Smith is in Pic 13 from Monday's training gallery. Let's hope it's a dentist appointment.
  15. There's been a few instances where a player has not trained during the Captain's Run and played the next day. Hoping this is the case with Smith.
  16. It’s Finals time, Salem will shine. Don’t stress.
  17. Seems ridiculous they would have the Tribunal hearing this week and not last week.
  18. Strengths and Weakness analysis from AFL site. Collingwood v Melbourne, qualifying final Collingwood STRENGTHS: The Magpies' ball movement is among their many weapons, generating an inside 50 from 32.2 per cent of their defensive half chains and scoring from 13.8 per cent of their defensive half chains (both ranked No.1). They are also among the best pressure teams, leading the League for pressure rating differential this season and applying a pressure factor of 182. While some teams collapse to apply pressure before a clearance but get caught on the outside, the Magpies lead the AFL for applying pressure before and after a clearance. They have a balanced game in terms of score sources, ranking No.3 for points from turnover differential (+11.2) and No.2 for points from clearance differential (+8.7). WEAKNESS: Collingwood's weakness leading into finals has been ball-winning, losing the contested possession count by 8.7 per game (ranked No.16) and the groundball gets differential by 12 (No.17) since round 17. Melbourne STRENGTHS: The Demons remain among the best defensive teams in the AFL, ranking No.2 for points conceded (72.2) and No.1 for scores conceded per opposition inside 50. Defending transition is a key and the Demons have allowed their opposition to generate an inside 50 from just 24 per cent of defensive-half chains, and a score from just 9.1 per cent (both ranked No.1). With a strong turnover game, the Demons have scored 53.1 points a game from turnover this season and conceded the fewest points from turnover of any side (41.1 per game). WEAKNESS: Melbourne's weakness is its kicking, recording a kicking efficiency of just 63.9 per cent (ranked No.17). The 2021 premier's kick rating of -3.5 per cent for kicks going into the forward 50 ranks last.
  19. We have just turned into the home straight folks, after the main session today it's all going to get real.
  20. What’s the minimum amount of time it has to rain during a game to constitute a ‘wet’ match? It rained during the Richmond game later in the year and we won that. Are you counting gather round in your 0-5? That loss had nothing to do with the rain. It was obvious from the first ten minutes we weren’t covering the ground well at all.
  21. Oh yeah, forgot about that one. A squillion 50 entries for 5 goals. Was thinking Port and Carlton only.
  22. The boys won’t care how wet it is. In the first 8 weeks of 2021 we played in the rain about 4-5 times and won them all. This season we’ve lost a couple of close ones in the wet and some of our best footy came in the pouring rain during the third quarter of the Port game where we piled on 7 goals. Us being no good in the rain is a little overblown I think.
  23. Since I last looked the temp has gone up 2 degrees to 19 now. The 90% chance of rain might not be that cold. I read this a lot about our high bombs. Are we still doing this? I don’t think so.
  24. Lol, people are completely ignoring/forgetting that Melbourne have only beaten us like twice in 7-8 years. It’s like 6 times since 2015. They’ve won 8 in that period but we won’t worry about that.
