It’s like pulling teeth

Lol, as it stands now we have the best percentage in the league.

28 points vanished rather quickly

Tomlinson, Laurie in Grundy, JJ out
-
Ivan Hoe could play on anyone and in any position really.

Came across this a little earlier https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/department-of-trade/afl-trade-news-rumours-whispers-2023-liam-henry-interview-about-contract-melbourne-st-kilda-james-jordon-free-agency-sydney-swans-essendon/news-story/5e347f62dfbac9c7cff35d610d1cafa7

I see the Lions are into favorites tonight. Pies go very well when they're slightly written off, wouldn't be surprised at all if they got up tonight even with all their outs.

Pick your favourite Demons side of all time

You just reminded me of this beauty FND. Made Pendles look silly lol -
DeGoey and Bobby Hill ruled out against Lions.

Slide tackles like that mean an early shower. Maybe JvR should’ve rolled around 16 times on the turf. Wow wee, how do you miss something so obvious?
-
Didn’t know where to post this. Rivers deserves the love he’s receiving here. Just a saw a champion data stat, he’s the best kick in the comp over the last 6 weeks. He’s the 11th highest-rated player in that period, kicking almost 20% above expectation.

Has our form been overstated?

Yes. Average losing margin of 10 points in the 7 losses. Lowest losing average in the comp. Biggest loss of 27 in Gather Round and to some that game doesn’t count lol, so subtract the 27 points and it’s an aggregate total of 43 in six games. -
I thought Gus deserved a little more than 2. Worked himself to exhaustion levels.

Annoying to lose, but curious to know if this thread is created if we’d won by 1 point. -
Close losses sting and it’s always about the ifs. If the Nibbler dribbler goes through, if Salo hits a 3 Iron instead of a pitching wedge, if JvR is awarded a free for being swept. Oh well… you win some, you lose some.

The season that keeps on giving

Imagine Max taking the kick out for us in a situation like that🤣🤣. Poor English

Spargo everywhere

From where we were sitting all I can say is we couldn’t get the ball in our hands in the first and when we did Carlton setup well at halfback Macca. We were rushed and gave the ball back cheaply. Is it a mental thing starting like that?
-
I take each week as I see it Macca. For whatever the reason, Carlton had the game on their terms in the first. I, like most think our backline did an outstanding job in that quarter, not many teams could’ve held up like that. Just giving them credit, that’s all. At one stage they flashed the inside 50 count up on the scoreboard in the second, Blues had almost 30 more, in the end it was 53-48 their way. I said earlier in the thread we had the momentum heading into the last change and the first 5 mins of the last is what lost us the game unfortunately.
-
There is no way any other team in the country withstands that first quarter from Carlton like we did.
-
Doubt it very much, Goody in his presser when asked about players that could make a case about coming in next week T Mac was the first name he mentioned. We get a good look at him today. Also mentioned Fritta for the week after.

Here they come. Some real muppets on here tonight.
-
Blues were due for some luck and boy did they get it. All I know is teams will never feel safe against Melbourne and it was proven again tonight.
