  1. 2 hours , 45 minutes and counting until selection. Once again, I will be flat come bounce, the anticipation is just eating away at me.

I look at our top players that are missing and I think this will be some win if we get up, on the other hand,  albeit important , only Jeffy and Salem miss from the team last week. They had minimal impact last week so tonight's selection looms as the biggest of the year. Goodwin and Co need to get this right.

  2. I would go with Kent for Garlett . Kent needs to improve on his forward pressure a great deal and on the big stage he will have nowhere to hide and he could go from a list clogger to an integral part in our journey.

We will miss Jeffy with his speed and tackling pressure but Kent provides the closest thing to a replacement with his own speed and long kicking. He's a line breaker and it might just work out against the Swans slow defence.

Just who was on the tribunal tonight? Ex players who believe in the old code and let Schofield off. Tonight made no sense both for Houli or Schofield to get off so lightly, perhaps Houli getting 2 meant they couldn't give Schofield the same penalty.

I think we all believe that a Melbourne player would not have been dealt with so leniently. I think even less of West Coast with their defence belittling both Clarry and the umpire who laid the report. The MRP have no credibility

David Neitz, Hamish Macintosh and Wayne Henwood.

    Ah !!!

the old self inflicted wound defence !!

David Grace QC is saying there were two incidients. He said Oliver chased Schofield and Oliver's right side of his face struck Schofield's spine, and that caused Oliver's pain.

    LMAO!!!

Lewis 3, Trengove 3, Hogan 2....... Lamb carried off unconscious.... Houli 2. Wow! AFL at its mind numbing best. Tribunal bringing the game into disrepute perhaps?

Numb is a great way to put it!

Maybe we should have challenged Hogan's ban.

Knowing the state of corruption at AFL HQ, wouldn't be surprised if West Coast were given assurances that Schofield would be let off if they appealed. Makes no sense to risk it all for the sake of a one week ban.

Never forget that the only people who found Essendon not guilty of doping offences were the carefully handpicked AFL's Tribunal.

David Neitz is on the panel tonight.

If I wasn't so lazy, I would have looked this up before asking. Apologies.

The Tribunal will sit at 5.30pm AEST on Tuesday night and AFL.com.au will run a live blog.

I will be following that live blog with great interest.

This could get very nasty for the kid - just remember Goodes. Not the same issue, but once the mob gets something in its tiny mind, it's hard to eliminate.

I hope it doesn't get nasty for Oliver, today at work for the second day running  another Essendon fan stated to me Oliver should audition for Home and Away and Neigbours. That made my blood boil, seems Melbourne supporters are fair game now also.

I can't imagine what's running through his mind with all the social media abuse but one thing I will say is , Oliver has 40 odd brothers in red and blue, 21 of them will run out with him Friday night and around 40,000 family members will be there to stand behind him as ONE!!!

The STAGE is set young man!!!

Last week I said you can hit a Melbourne player and get off. Now it appears you can elbow a Melbourne player and it is his fault for falling down.It has been claimed Clarry was staging for a free even when frees were not on offer due to this being after the siren. If Schofield had kept his elbow down the issue would not have happened. Who is the victim? Obviously Schofield. Maybe Clarry is soft and should take up playing cricket.

An Essendon supporter greeted me at work this morning by telling me Oliver needs to take a good hard look at himself.

That caused the first twitch in my eye, I returned serve with the points you stated, Schofield being the real issue here and I couldn't care less if Oliver dived or did not.

His next response was, nah mate Schofield only did what Jones, Viney and Bugg have been doing all year. Well, that was enough for both eyes to start twitching, I had to stop my task immediately before a verbal spat ignited, found the smoking balcony and sucked down a quick Winnie Blue whilst jumping on Demonland to calm down.

  9. On Saturday night scoreboard which followed our game,  Ben Dixon and Kate Sheehan were praising the game of Max Gawn in regards to his 19 hitouts to advantage in his first game back from a long absence.

To quote Brad Johnson, the so called host of this show in reply to their praise of Max. " He's done that on the back of one game in the 2's so he was ready to do that."

I hope that not one dollar from my Foxtel subscription goes to a buffoon like Johnson. It's bewildering the amount of times these so called experts misinform the viewers and getting paid top dollar to do it. You can't value their opinions at all, that's why Demonland is the best fan forum around for opinions, discussions and humour. Keep up the good work team!

    Best Sunday ever coming up!!!

  10. Good to see everyone is still awake. How can you sleep after what transpired tonight?  My 10yr old daughter almost vomited from nerves at the end. I told her to get in line.

After watching the game again, Jetta and especially Bernie were massive in the last quarter down back. Those two just clock on and clock off.

So, who is this mythical big out?

An earlier post mentioned Priddis might not come up. Him alone does not warrant such a fluctuation in the odds.

Masten is more than a capable mid as a replacement.

If Darling was the one then I could understand the plunge.

$1.89 eagles dees $1.95 something is going on that's a big turn around

i got on at $2.51 and my cash out option is already more than I put on

Equal favourites now on Luxbet. $1.92 each of two.

There's either been a huge plunge for the dees or the bookies are expecting a big late withdrawal from West coast.

    Dees 2.60 into 2.20

    Line 18.5 into 5.5

Into $2.00 now and the line $1.75 at +5.5 on Tab. Is there a possibility we start as favourite at the bounce?

I loathe Selwood as much as the next guy and maybe my eyes aren't as good as they once were but the vision I've seen on this seems to show his forearm striking Mitchell's back and then sliding up to the back of his head.   I haven't endeavoured to do a frame by frame analysis though.  Did they grade it as high or to the body?

Not sure what the grading was but Scott went as far to say on 360, there is a difference between intentionally throwing an elbow to the back of the head and tripping over a players legs and bracing for the fall as the latter was the case for Selwood.

    Laughable!!!

Like for like, why wouldn't we go Trengove for Jones?

this is the perfect opportunity, and why they kept him on list.  JKH and Stretch are outside players.

If Watts and Hibberd are fine to play Saturday, who do you omit for Gawn?

Gawn for Jones should be the only change, the formula is working at the moment.
