Haha, the Weir runner belongs to a couple of blokes from work. Captain Harry Wadda. I prefer yours though. Nice pick!

I might be a bit biased with my background but Iād love to see Greece compete on the world stage again. A bit stiff to miss out this year, conceded only 3 or 4 goals throughout qualifying and then a hot Croatia hammers them with 4 in the first playoff match in Croatia. Intriguing Round of 16 ahead. Iāve had a small wager on Mexico to win it. So glad they drew Brazil.

Haha, both games now 1-0. The instructions to the Japanese would be simple right now. No more yellow cards. I had no idea that āFair Playā was a tiebreaker.

Wow, VAR again. Penalty awarded to Senegal then overturned and Iām not sure why. Commentator mentioned an arm being flung back at Sanchez as to the possible reason but to me Sanchez had already started sliding and made contact with the knee prior to the Senegalese arm making contact and hardly any contact at that.

A Day at the Races
Best Bet. Sunshine Coast: Race 7 Number 2 The Bostonian $3.40 Terrific win last week when leading all the way. On a day when they were reeling the leaders in quickly I thought the win was quite impressive. Has won at Caloundra previously and the trainer believes the backup wonāt be an issue. Also, a couple of work colleagues have a small share in a horse called Captain Harry. Heās going around in Race 7 at Caulfield. The fellas are excited as itās the horseās first city grade run. It had a midweek run at Sandown a few starts back but nothing beats a Saturday in town. Itās racing well of late in the lower grades and you never know. Itās around the $10 mark. By no means is this a tip, only an added interest. The good thing about this horse is the fact itās still a colt. Hopefully they can get lucky and win a couple of decent races.

- Petracca in a rut?
Article on AFL site about Trac. http://m.afl.com.au/news/2018-06-27/im-not-the-player-i-want-to-be-says-dee-petracca The following stood out. All I want to focus on at the moment is just doing what Simon tells me to do, playing my role as that half-forward by putting a lot of pressure on. It's stuff that probably doesn't get recognised, but it does get recognised inside the four walls."- Run home to Finals - 2018

Play Ball!!! Letās go!!!- THE 2018 AFL NATIONAL DRAFT
Do they have another small forward thatās struggling to get a game as well? Stengle I believe....do you know much about him?- The Soccer thread
The Cup that keeps on giving. Unbelievable drama to finish off Group B. You canāt script this stuff. Missed penalties, VAR intervention, cracking goals. Iran almost sent Portugal packing, a one on one at the death and fluffs the shot wide. Iran would have topped the group. Agony!!- The Soccer thread
Unbelievable. Heartbreaking for the Swedish fans. This is turning out to be one hell of a tournament with so much more still to play out. Mexico is my āSmokeyā, never underestimate the Central Americans. āChicharitoā with his 50th international goal for the Mexicans.- A Day at the Races
Well done Macca. Phew, that was a tight finish. The caller thought ā City Lightā nosed out āMerchant Navyā. Thanks for posting the replay. Nice trifecta divvy on the Vic tote.- A Day at the Races
That bet should not have lost binman. The close misses are piling up this weekend. Unlucky mate.- A Day at the Races
We almost had the tri, at least I thought I did until Shillelagh came from the clouds. Very close today fellas.- Run home to Finals - 2018
Call me silly but I can see 3 wins at least in there with their effort last night and a few tweaks. Tough?? Yes....but not impossible.- A Day at the Races
Not that it would have made a difference but I did speak to mate prior to the race and connections were a bit perplexed why they went with Park as the jockey. They wanted the same apprentice as his first-up run so they could claim down to 51kg.- A Day at the Races
Terrific win by Nature Strip. Smashed them really. El wasnāt disgraced in that grade, looked like the horse ran 1400m rather than 1100m by the time it took to get to the outside rail. Hopefully heāll be better for the run.- Oscar vs The Gorillas
Donāt bother with him binman. You have a better chance of snagging the quaddie than talk sense into the Doc.- A Day at the Races
Shame about last night fellas, we carry on though with the āBest Betsā. Randwick R9 No.1 Bandipur. $2.50. Always a risk backing a horse first-up in the heavy but the horse competed well in stakes level last prep. Trialled well recently, goes well on a heavy track and the wide barrier might be an advantage late in the day.- Umpire Report

Hi all. Trifecta selection. Thought Iād get in early while the mood is good. Tonight will be busy on here. Number 4 Prompt Response $7.00 & $2.70 Last yearās runner-up striving to go one better. Canāt fault her consistency this preparation and is racing extremely well. Adrian Bott stated sheās open to further improvement after the Dane Ripper Stakes and sheās in great shape. Drawn well to gain a spot in the first few and should be in the finish. Tough field is an understatement.- A Day at the Races
Gāday Macca. I prefer the Tiara for this week. El Magnificence to go up against Nature Strip in the 3rd at Flemington on Saturday.- The Soccer thread
On the money DJ. What a game that should be, both fancies to top the group losing last night. Enjoy it! - Petracca in a rut?
