  1. No knock on your opinion Febes, picturing that ladder if your close with it gives me nightmares. Hodge has signed one more year with the Lions i believe?
  2. Brisbane to win more games than us from here? So glad they recently opened a Sporting Globe Bar & Grill 5 minutes up the road. Membership to good use then.
  3. I think my night will only get better. Boy is having his 10th Bday at some kids fun zone up this way and I found a Sporting Globe bar right next door. ? Races and sport everywhere.
  4. Well Wadda, two tips in and we have tasted the sauce. Tastes like mustard. The horse with 61kg tired, no surprise though.
  5. No good with the first “ Tip” at Morphetville. The jockey on Canford thought he was riding in a 3200m race. Got going way too late. Next!
  6. That’s probably the best option when it comes to knockout rounds. Just pick the team you think will go through to the next round. Slightly smaller odds of course but a simple way nonetheless.
  7. Same here Wadda, big moves on Sayed and The Bostonian early this morning like Macca stated. Won’t complain though when it comes through. ?
  8. Haha, we’ll find out soon enough Wadda. I’m taking the tips in a place multi, some good value. Around $7 for an all-place multi. There is a method of result betting option available on Tab for the soccer. Pick your team to win in extra time, penalties, full time, siesta time, whatever pleases you mate. There was a “ To Qualify” option on games but I can’t see it in the markets. That was always a good option to avoid the dreaded draw.
  9. Got some tips fellas and I don’t usually receive them often. No comment in the text just races and numbers. I’ll post them anyway just to test out the source. Rosehill R5 No.1 La Chica Bella I notice the horse will carry 61kg on the Soft. Good start. Rosehill R8 No.13 Mapmaker Morphetville R3 No.5 Canford
  10. That was it for the rule Macca after the tournament. Greece was ultra defensive throughout that tournament anyway. They did toy with the idea of reducing players during extra time. I wouldn’t mind it but the fatigue it would cause was a concern to some. Unfortunately like you, I can’t see penalties vanishing any time soon. Like you stated, the NHL altered the rules during overtime in the regular season to avoid the dreaded shoot-out. It’s now 3 on 3 and that works a treat.
  11. @Macca @Diamond_Jim Do you recall the implementation of the Silver Goal rule in Euro 2004? If a team was leading by the end of the first half of extra time the game would end. I remember it vividly, you could argue it helped Greece win the tournament and possibly costing the Czechs the tournament at the same time. https://www.planetfootball.com/nostalgia/remembering-short-lived-silver-goal-2004-czech-side-robbed/
  12. I’m more than happy with that system Macca and if others join it should be some good fun.
  13. I’ll give it a go @Macca. France v Argentina. Uruguay v Portugal Spain v Russia Croatia v Denmark Brazil v Mexico ( Hoping more than anything) Belgium v Japan Sweden v Switzerland Colombia v England
  14. Haha, the Weir runner belongs to a couple of blokes from work. Captain Harry Wadda. I prefer yours though. Nice pick!
  15. I might be a bit biased with my background but I’d love to see Greece compete on the world stage again. A bit stiff to miss out this year, conceded only 3 or 4 goals throughout qualifying and then a hot Croatia hammers them with 4 in the first playoff match in Croatia. Intriguing Round of 16 ahead. I’ve had a small wager on Mexico to win it. So glad they drew Brazil.
  16. Haha, both games now 1-0. The instructions to the Japanese would be simple right now. No more yellow cards. I had no idea that “Fair Play” was a tiebreaker.
  17. Wow, VAR again. Penalty awarded to Senegal then overturned and I’m not sure why. Commentator mentioned an arm being flung back at Sanchez as to the possible reason but to me Sanchez had already started sliding and made contact with the knee prior to the Senegalese arm making contact and hardly any contact at that.
  18. Best Bet. Sunshine Coast: Race 7 Number 2 The Bostonian $3.40 Terrific win last week when leading all the way. On a day when they were reeling the leaders in quickly I thought the win was quite impressive. Has won at Caloundra previously and the trainer believes the backup won’t be an issue. Also, a couple of work colleagues have a small share in a horse called Captain Harry. He’s going around in Race 7 at Caulfield. The fellas are excited as it’s the horse’s first city grade run. It had a midweek run at Sandown a few starts back but nothing beats a Saturday in town. It’s racing well of late in the lower grades and you never know. It’s around the $10 mark. By no means is this a tip, only an added interest. The good thing about this horse is the fact it’s still a colt. Hopefully they can get lucky and win a couple of decent races.
  19. Article on AFL site about Trac. http://m.afl.com.au/news/2018-06-27/im-not-the-player-i-want-to-be-says-dee-petracca The following stood out. All I want to focus on at the moment is just doing what Simon tells me to do, playing my role as that half-forward by putting a lot of pressure on. It's stuff that probably doesn't get recognised, but it does get recognised inside the four walls."
  20. Play Ball!!! Let’s go!!!
  21. Do they have another small forward that’s struggling to get a game as well? Stengle I believe....do you know much about him?
  22. The Cup that keeps on giving. Unbelievable drama to finish off Group B. You can’t script this stuff. Missed penalties, VAR intervention, cracking goals. Iran almost sent Portugal packing, a one on one at the death and fluffs the shot wide. Iran would have topped the group. Agony!!
  23. Unbelievable. Heartbreaking for the Swedish fans. This is turning out to be one hell of a tournament with so much more still to play out. Mexico is my “Smokey”, never underestimate the Central Americans. ‘Chicharito’ with his 50th international goal for the Mexicans.
