  1. Feel for all the player not playing but especially for Hunt. He’s a big reason we finished top four.
  2. More excited than nervous, so much better than winning the wooden spoon.
  3. You’re a star, DA. Not many people on here who’s content I look for and always agree with. Not only that, your sense of humour is as good as any and often provided light on here during the dark years. Much love to you, can’t wait to celebrate the win tonight.
  4. I should have read between the lines but I’ve been awake since 2 AM so I will blame that.
  5. I totally misread your post, you came up with MFCSS?
  6. Is MFCSS a Demonland thing? I assumed as much but wasn’t sure.
  7. Niall Seewang wrote it and he’s a big Melbourne supporter.
  8. I don’t know why, but this has really hit home for me. I’ve been posting on here (mostly garbage) since 2005 and my life has changed a lot in that time but Demonland has been a constant throughout. While most of us are stuck in our homes it has more than been the football community we all need, so thank you @Demonlandfor giving us nuffies somewhere to vent and connect with fellow Melbourne fans.
  9. In a similar vein this is a lovely tribute to the players we have lost too soon.
  10. I’ve written this a few times but for me 2019 was by far the worst season I’ve experienced as a Melbourne supporter. The end of 2018 was such a high, even with the West Coast thrashing at the end. Prior to that season I’d only ever been to one final, a loss to Geelong in 2005. Therefore, to be able to go see Melbourne win two finals against traditional powerhouse teams in front of over 90,000 people was for me my grand final because I just never thought I’d see us win one. To go back to not only being an average team but a genuinely bad team in 2019 hurt a lot, but there were some silver linings; I stopped letting the results of football games dictate how I feel, I consume a lot less football media (99% of which is absolutely awful), and we nailed the draft that year which is a big reason why we are playing in a Grand Final. I was much more nervous before the prelinary final because I just so badly wanted to see Melbourne be part of the build-up and the day itself. Win or lose this has been the best season and Melbourne team in my lifetime by far. Seeing Gawn hold up the cup would be amazing, but even if we lose I now trust this club from the top right down more than ever and actually enjoy watching football again.
  11. You can’t watch on Kayo. Kayo/Fox never has their own commentators anyway if it is a Channel Seven game. BT is commentating.
  12. I was a just watching AFL 360 and they only showed footage from the round 19 game which was infuriating. I honestly think we win and win pretty well (over 30 points). In fact, if this game is played 10 times I think we win 9 of them and the one we lose is through bad goal kicking.
  13. Happy with this.
  14. When we were bad players wanted to leave to find success which is fair enough. Therefore, now that we are good why would Weideman want to leave? Yes, he can’t get a game right now but surely he’s prefer to pet of a strong club than go back to a bottom one?
  15. It would have been a lot better if they didn’t talk over him all the time.
  16. 100% we are not wearing the red back.
  17. He should have been an All-Australian. He was the best small defender in the AFL for about five years, absolute star.
  18. Totally agree, but right now is not the time to dwell like many are.
  19. I’m just sick of being reminded about how rubbish we were. We, Melbourne supporters know this better than anyone else. I want to celebrate watching a team that is not only full of great players but is now playing as a great team.
  20. Just started listening, really interested in his comment about being away from Melbourne is helping the team. I 100% agree with this, all the MFCSS veil of negativity types would be such a drain on the players if they were in Melbourne, so I think it could be the best thing for us.
  21. The media’s (in particular Garry Lyon’s) obsession with picking at the scab of “remind us bad things were” and “how unhappy are you at not playing” irks me. Yes, we all feel for Jones (I still maintain he should be playing) but don’t give people the opportunity to find something negative in a week when we should be doing nothing but celebrating.
  22. Cunnington getting the votes was actually one the umpires got right, we had no answer for him. The biggest surprise was O’Meara getting votes in a game where were won by over 50 points.
