I should have just posted what Dazzle did, I meant the best 22 part actually, we have moved on, Tyson, Vince, Cross and possibly Michie would be ahead of him in the queue by a mile
-
And you base that on?

I would have thought Roos, Jackson and the Recruiters would already be on the Gold Coast today? Unless he flies out afterwards of course -
I didn't realise you were in the ACT, impeccable meaning the same sort of source that emanates from that white [censored] pile on the big hill there? I agree with what somebody else wrote, your stated categorically, you do need to back that up, otherwise it is a rumour For all the posters who love having a dig at me, quite simple don't read what I write, as I said last year as well, I skim over some posters "thoughts"
-
Yes I agree with you, but we move on, to keep revisiting the same old thing gets boring, yes we all learn but we have new people in place, who knows if they are doing the right thing I don't continually go back and wonder how and why my first marriage failed, I celebrate that my second relationship has lasted 25 years and counting........the kings of hindsight on here I find tiresome, we are supposedly discussing why Nev Jetta may get a rookie spot and you can put your opinion on that, starting the post with "in my opinion....
-
A rather strange choice of words there Nasher from somebody who admonishes other posters, you do tend to go out of your way to criticise by the way......... I know exactly what I am, I am a keyboard warrior who posts on a footy board like everybody else on here.............footy, 44 grown men chasing an inflated piece of leather and rubber around a field....I just don't like twaddle...........as long as you think that is the only contact I have with the Club that is cool
-
Facts is what i am interested in, Magner's ego took a kicking and he vented, I don't blame him, he was putting good performances in at Casey and wasn't picked, ask Jeremy Laidler about that, but coaches don't play certain players for a myriad of reasons, this is all history, it's gone, move on. I don't mind opinions as long as that is what they are, so you must lead with "in my opinion the club is [censored]", not the sister's uncle who is good friends with the barman who serves the drinks at the Bentleigh Club told me that the players are not happy.....so the club must be [censored] I am looking forward to a new season, I am biased I wear nr 39 on my jumper, hopefully Nev will get a rookie spot And I will repeat what I put last season..........I don't care what other posters think of me or my credibility.....I don't need anybody's approval
-
As somebody who watched training quite often last year, that is fanciful to say the least, the only beef I have had from the players is there was too much emphasis on running pre Xmas, the only time the squads broke up was in the session before the game, and the Club went as far as bringing the Casey players to train with the Melbourne guys....it is a new season, can we all just drop the past......let's look forward If there is a story about Stark then I haven't read it, or heard it

Roos is Roos, I am impressed by him at training, would prefer if we could all just move on, new season, another crack -

Why do you need to do a bash Neeld, rather than just a report, I was at most of the early sessions last year and Neeld and Misson watched at close quarters Roos spent most of the session in discussion with both George Stone and Jade Rawlings, I was there for the whole session All the players have stopwatches on their wrist, it is not a race it is a matter of doing conistent times, you see them click at the start and finish -
Nev has done one full pre season which was last year, he is in the same boat as Strauss, Tapscott and Blease, only difference being he was out of contract, the club has asked him to continue training with them, no promises (as I was told), but obviously he thinks there may be rooke spot at the end of it, but the club must have asked for a reason. Would assume if nothing eventuates, he could easily pick up a spot in the WAFL I don't get defensive, old and ugly enough to stand by what I type, you are already stating that there were other issues behind the Stark delisting, if so what are they? and how do you know.....I know Dawes is [censored] off with certain sections of the Melbourne supporter base who have written him off, he told me to point out he is fine and ready to go this season, which I did....slight difference
-
So let me put this indelicately, how is it what you are saying is the truth. Are you part of the inner sanctum of the club, if so, then you need to identify yourself as such, because if you are not this will colour how people take what you are posting Most posters know who I am, and that I have regular conversations with the players, I actually put what they said to me eg as in the training report yesterday, Chris Dawes is rather peeved with all the naysayers and I asked if I could put what he said on twitter and this board and he said feel free, so not a 'stranger' as you would say Some of what you said in the past has turned out to be unfounded Note I also had feelings expressed to me last year, but I don't put that on a public board, I had something said to me yesterday as well 'in confidence' so I respect that If what you know doesn't have those caveats then feel free to share
-
I had three or four conversations throughout the year with Nathan Stark, never seemed 'isolated', more concerned with the run of injuries, would be interested to know what you have heard, I am only repeating what I was told, which if truthful, not really "dumping"
-
Tsk tsk you should know me better than that, asked about him, as I thought it was a bit harsh, answer "not sure whether he could physically stand up to the rigours of AFL" , so one of those guys with injuries all the time and the subsequent removal from the rookie list
-
Use my favourite phrase, twaddle, he was due back yesterday, 5 year player, but he already knew he was being delisted but was allowed to train on, were you there yesterday?....he completed the whole session without a problem, so not pristine condition?.....I know I talked to him afterwards I am believer in using the rookie spots for speculation, retaining players you don't want to lose (particularly but being the industry it is now, decisions have to be made). left field choices etc etc, you have 40 on the main list, like everybody not a fan of long contracts that tie a player to the list without the runs on the board, so the main list I agree with you, rookie no
-
Nice to see you are convinced, any rookie spot is speculative, that is what they are there for, knowing Jason Taylor and Kelly O'Donnell, there will probably be a couple of left field in there anyway......can't see Nev being a waste

Forgot Nicholson was a no show today, there was one missing and took me to now to figure out Trengove is looking fit Some of the running partnerships McDonald and Grimes. I asked Tommy Mc afterwards about Grimesy, he said when fit will challenge him over 3 k, how to feel part of it, comparing shoulder op scars with Tommy Mc. His was bigger and newer, sounds rude. Nathan Jones and Toumpas, so take that as Toumpas has come back ready to fire Trengove and Matt Jones, so Jones is a good runner Watts and Howe Clisby and Terlich Frawley and Dunn Hogan with Viney and Michie, then thundering by himself And as in the photos, Cross and Barry, a coach call methinks McKenzie was also in rehab group, forgot him as well, another one easing back in, none of them looked particularly crocked -

I was actually going for Gandalf, keeps me warm in winter, and protects from sun in summer I am not one for gushing about training, it's a bit pointless, suffice to say, there is now genuine competition all over the park, so post Xmas I reckon training will be willing. Cross is genuinely pleased to get a second go with us, Michie is lovin' it (his words), Bernie Vince (see the smile in the photo). For all the Hogan lovers though, apart from seeing Mitch Clark in full training, best sight today was Jesse thundering around the repeat 2 and 300's, just saw the photo posted, that's it Watts is fine, seen him without the shirt, perfect size for his body shape edit for gush Have to disappear now, will answer any other questions over next day or two if there is any Forgot one thing, from Chris Dawes to all the doubters, he will be back before Xmas, ready to go -

Blease was with the rehab group, like I said we seem to be ultra cautious this year, don't forget he has had the leg and then his ankle Cross looks super fit, Vince was bouncing around, he had no problem with me stopping hime for a photo, looked good in the running, yes the footy came out, from what I could see we were practicing short outlet kicking coming out of back half -

Of course I had a chat to Nev, Club wants him to continue to train, couldn't tell me much else, told me he was fine with the situation -

See questions are easier Gawn was in the "rehab" group forgot him, asked Tappy, he was vague, so didn't push it, probably as sick of being in rehab group as we are at seeing him there...didn't seem restricted whatsoever, from what I can gather, they are trying to ensure everybody is cherry ripe to go after Xmas...they are not flogging them......had more than one player and no I won't name names tell me they were flogged too hard pre xmas last year -

Sixes wasn't in attendance I post pics on twitter, will be doing it later, Demonpk, not everybody looks there Everybody on the track except Chris Dawes, who was out bike riding Kent and Riley left early, Kent has a troublesome Patella and Riley on the way back from broken leg. Not training with main group, Strauss, Tapscott, Jamar, Byrnes, Hogan, Viney, Spencer, McDonald, Garland, Tyson, think that's about it Delegation from new sponsor in attendance, Peter Jackson, Todd Viney, Mahoney, Bartlett, Howcroft and recruiting staff, asked Jason Taylor who we are taking at 9, he wouldn't tell me Everybody in new tops with new sponsor It is easier to answer questions so fire away -
You are really gonna hate watching young Jesse then, I assume during a game you have an Isocam on Nicho, I find his kicking is a lot better at Casey, he is like a lot of our younger/inexperienced players, he needs a consistent run in the AFL to get used to the pressure, I don't think it is his kicking action more the choice of where to kick it, the pressure does that.......
