Nutbean, gold, you shouldn't have said that though, you will reawaken the hindsight heroes again this morning........
-
Come one then undeluded one, why am I delusional because I haven't said we need to delist, get rid of 15 to 20 or even 30 players, do you want to name them, still waiiting....as per the norm for a lot of posters on here....all talk and no action or all wind and [censored]
-
Must be the only topic EVER where this hasn't happened then. I am still waiting for the list of 20 players who should be gone at seasons end Have had quite a few who have stated this without naming them, bit too hard is it?
-
WYL, sorry quote won't work and have been busy tonight, again misquoting, that is not what I said, I said the Footy Dept will decide
-
Hunt is injured and has been for last four weeks, seen a lot of him have you? Byrnes not with us, but 2 premiership medals, must have had something?...he will be gone though Riley cutting adrift after how many games of AFL? Spencer was offered a new 2 year contract a couple of weeks ago by Roos, er? The others are the usual suspects, me personally I have 3 on very shaky ground and 3 alone unless they do something in the next few weeks, and after talking to them, surprisingly all 3 know they are on the last chance, and it is only Tapscott who has lifted in the last couple of weeks Tapscott Strauss Blease But I am not a member of the Footy Dept so who knows?
-
WYL and OD, no matter, who are the 20?, any order will do
-
I thought you only came on here to have a go at me, you seem to strongly deny the inadequacy however, my insults should be water of a duck's back to any of the well rounded posters on here, yet they don't seem to be You can't read many posts if you can't see the denigration occurring, let's think what kind of constructive criticism is calling a player a spud If it is a discussion forum, then I am allowed my own opinion, and my opinion of other's posts, I think that's what discussion means, discuss? It also means I can come up with whatever theory I want, theorize? WYL wants 20 delisted, I corrected myself, missed that?
-
No, you are not getting away that easy, you have made the sweeping statement........... back it up....which 20?....this means there are only 2 left from the last 2 games That's why I don't pot them as well.......you see it at games as well, the guy resting a beer on his ample girth shouting abuse.....think it is more to do with self inadequacy that anything else
-
So we are going to delist 20 then, sorry thought it was 30, do you want to name them?
-
Ah yes, but it is Cam Schwab's fault that they haven't developed properly isn't it?....oh no sorry, it was the day MFC sacked Norm Smith that started the rot....no, it was when they changed the name from the Fuchsias to the Demons.......
-
Yes but it is just footy, nobody dies, I invest heavily in the Club, but I don't feel the need to denigrate players who go out at the weekend and give it their best shot, unfortunately in some cases their best is not good enough at the moment Roos will decide if anybody doesn't deserve a game next week, unfortunately we don't have many replacements demanding to be picked, so Roos is experiencing the same frustrations as we are We have all played footy, but I assume none have ever reached AFL level, so we have no idea what is required to play at that level
-
As per normal DD, you haven't bothered reading what I posted, just a couple of the other comments against my posts so you thought you would join in I am as disappoined as anybody with the performance on Saturday night, obviously there is still a long way to go before we start to be competitive week in, week out, but we are where I thought we would be. But I am going to back up next week in the hope that we put in a better showing against Geelong, I am not demanding the immediate delisting of 30 odd players This is a footy forum agreed, so therefore I am entitled to express an opinion, like everybody else, I sometimes wonder though why some do continue to support the Club as it brings them so much misery, surely their time would be better spent elsewhere I understand that the emotions expressed will be dependent on the the result, but some of the bandwagon jumping, hypocrisy, contradictory statements I find rather amusing, so I will post that, said before if you don't like it, don't read it I also get a bit bored with the past being continually brought up, as it has in the topics emanating from the weekend's performance, let's move on shall we, it's not all Barry Prendergast's fault...or is it? I have trust in Roos to right the ship, but it ain't gonna happen as soon as some on here would like
-
Wow a few weeks and you're back, anniversary of Schwab running over your cat came quickly again, give it a rest, it is the past. So how many are we going to delist, 30? Basketballers?...that's new at least, I can think of one, one of your whipping boys. As I have said before, why do you waste your time supporting the team, if it brings out such hatred in you, can't be good for your health in the long term I know exactly where we are at the moment this season, exactly where I thought we would be, Roos probably thought the same thing, think he is just getting a little bit frustrated like the rest of us with the skill errors, and the fact that he can't seem to eradicate them no matter how hard he and the coaches try
-
You do read some of the posts surely?, don't normally read yours, but saw it actually quoted me correctly this time, what a surprise, just get a bit bored with the posters who are now slashing their wrists and bashing the whole team, what did they expect this season? From what I can see from some of the topics after Saturday's game, we look like delisting about 30 players, should make draft time interesting

Demonland - a group of incredibly dumb posters, love a loss, brings out the best, listen to Roos, he know exactly where we are at. I watched the game at the Sporting Globe in Richmond, expected us to hold them for quite a while, then they would draw away and probably win by 5 or 6 goals, was disappointed it blew out A few comments of my own, we need 22 to play their role really really well or we will get results like this Down last night, Grimes (his one percenters again overshadowed by mistakes, Terlich, trying to hold his place, 'tried too hard, Garland, he is out of form, Gawn , use your bloody size, Howe, got lost in transition, Salem, needs a break...there were others

Match Preview and Team Selection - Round 16
Satyriconhome replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Tell you what P-man, come down to Punt Rd tomorrow at 11am, and you can sit being just as frustrated with some of the MFC listed players there as I have been for the few games I have watched Sam Blease is getting there, but he still disappears during games, or spoils a great run by either suddenly going backwards or turning it over, some of his defensive work also leaves a bit to be desired at times, but as I have said he is getting closer and closer, he has still not managed to put back to back 4 quarter games together -
You are wrong there chap, Roos produces the same message no matter the forum, I asked the players about his 3/4 time address against Norths, basically it was what he said at his post game presser, 360 etc.....he loves consistency
-
It was six points, so half a chop, you are correct re the membership though, the steady incline stopped dead for a week or two after the West Coast game
-
No player is 90% AFL ready when drafted, it all depends on the the players physiology, the actual team environment they come into, the coaching and development staff or lack thereof....listen to Roos' presser, yet some young players light up early, but will they still be lighting up 5 years down the track, they won't if they are not developed properly
-
There is some absolute twaddle posted on here...feedback to who, you really think Roos and the players read the stuff on here.............reasonable, in comparison to what? I am not blue skying, the first half was deplorable I am rather frustrated that we can't seem to get it together, but we are where i thought we would be........ I have faith that Roos will sort the wheat from the chaff at seasons end, so therefore I find it rather pointless to have post after post saying delist him, and him and him etc etc ad infinitum I prefer to take the positives, another step forward in the redemption of Nev Jetta, Jack Viney going toe to toe with Libba Jnr (one of the latest orgasm generators amongst the media), the third quarter, Jamar and Gawn's performance I sometimes wonder, apart from the interstaters and overseas posters, who highlight the fact that that is what they are, how many who have actually contributed to this topic were at the game, at lot of the comments seem to be based on telly commentary....just saying
-
Wrong chap, check out the North Ballarat VFL team, you may find a familiar face and name there
-
Who knows?....his first go at it was a failure...he may see the light and be re drafted as a mature age..that's why I am not an AFL recruiter, and neither are most of the posters on here.... perhaps I will ask Burgo to do an article on exactly how a club's first few picks are decided, who has input, whether a player or player's manager says don't bother recruiting me coz I will go home after two years, whether they are swayed by everybody and his dog having an 17yr old being drafted in the top 10 after being named as an All Australian etc etc etc......... .I just get a bit bored with the next young superstar being all over the newspapers......yes Bontompelli may be a really good player....but let's wait 5 years and then say so ...Roos said as much in his presser...
-
Ah yes, but to quote a lot of the posts here, was he the superstar able to drag the team over the line.....er no......I think a lot of what Judd these days is taken as being good because of past glories, have a look at his disposal efficiency from last night, I like to watch the Carlton games closely, they are in a supposedly similar position to us, a messiah like coach, a couple of superstars who were bought in (unfortunately ours retired), lots of high end draft picks......where are they at the moment.....er let's think 4 wins....hence why I am not slashing my wrists like a lot on here
-
Wow, you were watching the game right, he has always been good at forcing the ball forward, but a lot of the time last night the ball did not go anywhere near a Carlton player, just because Bruce goes orgasmic everytime he touches it, doesn't mean every possession is gold, the hard tag went to Murphy, that should tell you something
-
No I'm not, never write anybody off, showing how all this bleating about drafting etc., is just that, bleating.....I prefer to judge a player when his AFL career is over, not in the first year or two.............I'll give you one example, to go off topic slightly, Judd, brilliant career but he should have retired last year
