  1. Jesus Ding. Judds Granny follows a very well worn path of a new poster popping up at seasons end, and giving juicy tidbits that people love to swallow, and being exposed and disappearing 2 months later, never to be seen again. Like the posts for their entertainment value, imagine "wouldn't it be great if it were actually true", but don't ask questions and give the impression that you believe what he is saying. Its fun, but nothing more. edit: and watch for the trade rumours to get even more enticing, and complicated at key "bars open" times, friday night, and weekends.
  2. Exactly what I was thinking, only I couldnt remember the name.... boy oh boy
  3. Then Petracca would want to have a consistent season, and not just patches of promise. Just a tad overrated on output thus far is Christian.
  4. I think I would speak for some on here when i say I DGAF what other teams need. Only us. I guess thats why people say what they do.
  5. If you are going to post during trade season, you will need a much thicker skin that that. Harden up mate, and post away! If Norf has actually upped its offer to Martin to 10.5 over 7yrs, they must have given up on Kelly. Welcome to the Dees Josh.
  6. Rumour season has begun. Don't let them put you off @SFebey, some of the best times on here are when we are discussing trade rumours. Only thing that gets my cranky up is when the inevitable moronic trade suggestions come up. 3 x krap for 1 x champion Large or small, true or complete BS, I say bring 'em on.
  7. I'd play for University for $1.5m/7yrs Tigers wont win a flag with the current list. If he wants success, he needs to lower his eyes a bit, and settle for the 3 story house in Toorak, instead of the whole building at Eureka Tower. I'd be very interested to hear the rumours re: the offer to Lever. @Redleg? @Chook in Perth?
  8. Go to the AFL site. No to the dogs.
  9. Haven't seen enough to even guess how good the kid might be, but I have a question. Who is going to mind the Danihers, Browns Hipwoods of the world? If Lever is an intercept marking player, who will shut down the skyscrapers?
  10. Dont be grumpy Nash. The reason it almost never happens is the players use the leverage to almost always get to their desired club
  11. Being out of contract gives leverage to get to your desired club. Threaten to go to anyone, or sit out the game, sook, spit dummy, carry on. Luke Ball?
  12. What happened to the much vaunted "War Chest" that was rumoured to be on standby? Yes, we need to pay our young talent appropriately, but if other teams with much stronger lists than us can afford to pay their guys, why can't we attract a high profile star? All talk it seems.
  13. Maybe he will be happy having his grand final every year for the Pies at the 'G' on Queens Birthday Monday?
  14. Imagine what Taylor and co could make of that in a ""Superdraft"" Mind boggles.
  15. Probably a better suggestion, and closer to the mark.
  16. Im lazy, but where did the 800K figure come from? If that is the missing piece that lands us a flag, it's worth every penny/draft pick.
  17. Adelaide has had a terrible run since the free agency era began. Maybe worse than any other club. So many high profile players seeking trades, or simply jumping ship. It's great isn't it.
  18. I keep reading they are Dee fans through and through. Can't see him going anywhere else.
  19. If we play every game till the end like we have the past several weeks, high profile players will be climbing over each other to come to us, just like the Hawks of the past decade. Would love Lever, but must admit that every improved performance by O-Mac and Frost is turning my eyes elsewhere. We are almost at the point of using our war chest, and trading away our early draft picks for a shot at a flag. Reckon this might be the year to pull the trade trigger.
  20. Watts can't mark over his head to save himself. In fact he decidedly average for a bloke of his size (Contested I mean), whereas T Mac is quite good offensively. I'm liking what I see of Tommy the past few weeks, and with a star like Lever in defence, we would be blessed with options at both ends of the ground. I thought our mob said only a couple of years ago that it had built a "war chest"? About bloody time we used it, as the time is right now.
  21. Welcome back Jesse. I hope you don't get a kick in the bag!
  22. Agree, a star CHB is worth that, under the new cba. We have many good young players we need to keep though, and others will undoubtedly come sniffing.
  23. Johannisen wants $800k per season?!?!?! Good god! He is not worth anything remotely close to that.
  24. Blinkers. Joe Daniher or Sam Weidemann? Right now, its Danners by the length of the Flemington straight, and I'm a fan of Weids. Sorry, realised I'm posting on a Melksham thread. I think Goody has found his niche. He can be a stopper who also finds his own ball, and makes his opponent accountable defensively with his natural attacking instincts. Lets hope his very recent form continues. btw, have a look at the team song from the Eagles game. I think it's fair to say Jake is heavily invested in the club now. He was screaming the words louder than I was.
  25. If true, what a family of soft koks. They've heard of Qantas/Skype/Telstra haven't they?
