If you listed a Clarry v any other player in the comp, I would choose Oliver. Yes, I'm serious.
  2. If you think the coach doesnt have direct input into the type of player he wants the recruiting staff to chase, you are following the wrong sport.
  3. Its only fair to not be basking in his failure, because we are going ok now. Neelds problems were not just a failure to develop a good game plan, it was a total failure to identify the type of player we should draft, in order to move towards a flag. It would be nice if he finds a nice job after this. He may very well be a nice guy, and I respect him for his time with the Dees. However, he was [censored] at team and list management. Possibly among the worst we ever had.
  4. Not sure why people think this way. Oliver is the best handballer in the comp by some margin, and finds so many of his possessions in tight, and yet still manages to get the ball to a team mate in a position to clear the ball. Not sure it would be possible to find a teammate as often, if he is kicking from inside a pack.
  5. I'm a fan of OMac, and see a very very good key defender in the not too distant future, but "tough"? Generous.
  6. I've purchased lingerie for my beautiful young wife before. I also would have smiled/smirked/laughed while some random asked me what floor I wanted to exit at. That story is f$%ked What exactly was the complainant called? Need more info.
  7. Gus will finish his career as a much better than "solid" mid. He will be one of our best 5, given an injury free run. We needed pure footballers, and Gus is certainly one of those.

I will say it again. Clarry will win at least one Brownlow, and will be remembered as the best handballer in the games history. Kid is a freak.
  9. Fair call. Will be very interesting to see what we make of the cash injection.
  10. Staggering decision. We turn ourselves from a profit maker, to a loss maker BY CHOICE? For nothing other than Social Justice Warriors and their "feelings"? If I see a hat being passed at any time in the future, I will tell them to f*&k right off. Epically stupid virtue signalling by our leaders. Disgraceful decision.
  11. Petracca Oliver Brayshaw Viney Imagine these 4 in full flight, being fed by Gawn. The next few years are our best chance in my lifetime to be feared again. Beasts.
  12. From the first game I watched him play, he had one elite skill, and that is ball to foot speed. Consistently faster than anyone else I have ever seen. Also like his work in the air. Hits a pack like a much taller player. Very very happy with this news.

Cale Morton as the body model?

I'm starting to think Cassie has a problem with soccer.

Great post. Agree with every word. We have our star in Oliver. He is going to be one of the best in the competition in the next few years, and will be offered Federal Reserve money from other clubs. Would love to see Wines in the Red & Blue, and my god our midfield would be intimidating, but just cant see where the funds would come from. Watch for Norf to offer 1.5m p.a over 7 years, fail to get a bite, and for Wines to re-sign with Port. @ding What are your connections saying?
  16. They would know already. List management is prepared years ahead now. If they are still chasing him, they either have enough "cap" in hand, or they think they can get away with a brown paper Visy bag. Sloane would be very nice, although I think we might target Gaff if players such as Billy Stretch dont come on this year. We still need outside running power, who can get plenty of touches.
  17. Just showed the missus. First response (in her filipino english), was to point and say SUPERMAN!, wheres da cape? I like it.
  18. Yeah, that was my first thought also. Big difference to the weedy pack skirters we loaded up on in years gone by. That post from @dazzledavey36 is a cracker. Spargos family would be printing it on their Christmas cards.
  19. So it ended up a good news story after all. Good stuff.
  20. It must have been hard, never taking your own kid to a footy game.
  21. Thank you No really, thank you so much. Tightened my glutes for sure......
  22. Just needs to stay on the park Can find the ball, and is a fantastic kick. This may just be the year he "arrives"
  23. I worry about the mindset of any player who is that much of a mummies boy that he can't bring himself to be away from her, but if he gets fit and establishes himself in the senior team, it will be yet another great pickup by our recruiting team. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, even those opinions that you dont like. I too hope Harley is fine. He is a Demon now after all. Thats all I care about. Rage away.
  24. While recovering from testicular cancer, after losing his father? You lefties have no compass of any kind. Real issues. One was life and death for Jesse, the other resulted in death for his father. As soon as someone posts something that you cant get your head around, your eyes close, your ears shut, and your lose all touch with reality. Your moral crusade is wasted on me mate, because I can see straight through it.
  25. Mrs Bombay Air is a certified legend. If we beat Geelong in round 1, get her to plan September for you.
