A Day at the Races
Yeah they sure did come in. I waited to long and got on about midday Saturday. I developed a habit of waiting in case 1 was scratched which has happened before. I still got 16/1 and adjusted my outlay accordingly. (2 cups of coffee) So i was happy with the return and practice make perfect. I think we are getting better at it. Lets hope the coronavirus doesnt impact the sport so hard we dont get a Spring carnival.... Who knows.

A Day at the Races
I think the weight really came into play with Home by Midnight. It got to about 2800 then just went backwards. 60 kg or whatever it was over 3200 is always a big ask. Had a similar day to DZ with a multi of Samson, One More Jack and King of Leogrance all saluting....the last leg was the fav Free of Debt just to run a plc..... it came last. Shock, horror and dismay. But the punt giveth and the punt taketh away. We live to fight another day. Back to the 3 race strategy. Worked last Sat. Thats my go from now on.

Coronavirus & Other Sports
Look it was just a light hearted mathematical example. 1% of 7b = 70m. Ok? I was merely replying to a post that said 1% was nothing. I was implying if.....
-
Coronavirus & Other Sports
Was going on 1% of the 7b population, as you correctly pointed out, if the mortality rate is at 1%. Looks like it might be higher. Regardless of the math, it could still be a serious pandemic.
-
Coronavirus & Other Sports
So if the virus spreads to most of the worlds population, that would equate to around 70m deaths. Roughly about the same as the 1918 Spanish Flu.

Track seems to be running well after the first two races. The European, King of Leogrance, smashed his rivals into the turf in the 2600m race 2. Solid win.
