  1. Nice one. I was wondering how you went? So there is a pattern of predictability to Sha Tin, thats interesting. Is that because its not on grass and there is no track or rail bias so to speak? Bring on the group races ! I think that 8/1 for Ace High on the Rosehill Guineas is the Best Bet for next month.
  2. So, they dont want to race Winx without Bowman, who is currently suspended. Winx is out of the Apollo. Market closed atm. I wish i had of thought more about that, because when Bowman got suspended i posted it here, and said watch the market. Ace High was still 26/1. Think it will come in considerably, however you may be able to still get good odds when the market reopens which wont be too long. Winx won the Apollo last 2 years. Ace High is 8/1 for The Rosehill Guineas March 17. Ace High is 34/1 Randwick Guineas March 10th Ace High is 18/1 Caulfield Cup. in from 25. October (will be 9/1 by the end of Autumn) Horse is trained at Rosehill, so that is a definite. Trainer also stated after the Darby win, Ace High will be set for the Melbourne Cup. Ace High, currently 34/1 for the Cup, won the Darby by 2 lengths, so did Efficient.
  3. From the trainer: Ace High will go to the Hobartville stakes next then the Randwick Guineas and The Rosehill Guineas. We then decide whether to run him in the (Australian) Derby or the Queen Elizabeth Stakes there are a week apart so I donโ€™t think we would run in both if Winks isnโ€™t running in the Queen Elizabeth then we will target that but otherwise it will be the Derby.
  4. OK, yes i realize about the odds, its tricky though sometimes, you have to watch them (TAB). Although they can be good. I remember i lost a ticket once, quaddie over 2k win. They looked up the time i put it on and found it on the system, took a little while but i got paid in the end.
  5. Well i do know that 1 particular Jockeys nickname was Danny the Brakeman....you can probably work out who that was.
  6. Really wow...haha good work! Yes well footy is pretty boring this time of year, so good on us. So now im still not 100% sure. If i place a 4 leg multi on the TAB on say Thursday and come Saturday 1 leg is scratched, does that ticket pay out?
  7. Ak ok, yes sorry, i was meaning the TAB.
  8. I know 1 big punter, no names and its for racing overseas, where he owns some horses in Singapore. He actually rings the barrier attendant to get the last word on the horse as its going into the gate, before placing his bet.
  9. Really...oh thats good, because i always thought if you had put on an early multi and there was a scratching, the multi didnt pay out.
  10. So if there is a scratching in the multi, does it just miss that leg and carry over?
  11. Spot on Macca, early doors indeed. Then there is also the betting plunges in the 5 mins before the race. Ive never really understood these and how they work? I guess some of it is late money by Whales waiting to see if everything is right with the horse. But other times it seems everyone gets wind of some thing, like the Expressway today. Global Glamour just went out the gate and ran accordingly. The winner had a lot of late money come for it.
  12. Yup, thats what i was getting at. I forgot because im out of practice!
  13. Yes its been a lot of fun, thankyou.
  14. Its actually good when i see it like that, otherwise its written over different posts and i have trouble reading back sometimes. Perhaps we could lay it out like this by 12pm raceday if possible. That was really good picking by you guys today. Pity about Shitty Kitty!
  15. Pyke gets too far back at times i reckon, leaves the run a bit late. Overconfident sometimes.
  16. Ok yes, i see. But with a multi, you can put on different horses to win on different tracks right, which you cant do with a parlay. I think now you can also do multi place bets??
  17. Thats a good combination. So did you put that on as a multi over the different tracks i guess. So those bets are $5 min...? Its a good way to bet in that case, i have done this also last Spring, so ill have a look at that next time.
  18. Oh i wasnt being cynical, i love to find horses like that.....i just didnt see the earlier discussion so i wasnt sure. I went with 2. Dainty Tess with W Pyke on board. places 1,4,5,7,8/1,3,4,5,7,8
  19. You like volkoff?
  20. Satutes well too.....Im down so far, what were we looking at in Ascot? Yes i do like the 3 legs occasionally 4.
  21. Im also on Dont give a Damn last leg all up.
  22. Thats what sisters are for. Ace High would have brained them if there was another 100m.
  23. Maccas probably at the TAB....ha....Ace High looks good...here we go!
  24. Great. Whats your final Tri combo Macca....? If Ace wins, it will be the first High Chaparral to win over 1200. Would be awesome.
  25. Ive ended up taking Addictive Nature/F/F and Global Glamour/F/F @ Rosehill. R7.
