At training the other day there was an old guy with an fluro orange streak through his hair, so probably yeah
Yeah, I saw him at training with the orange hair. He also painted his beard blue too (no joke).

My mail is GC or Demons it's a two horse race like paddy and his mum is desperate for him to come home
Fingers crossed we finally have our break out year and the stars finally align....we deserve some top end talent to want to come to us.

The club, Jones, and by all accounts his surgeon seem confident that he'll be good to go in round one. I'm not concerned.
I noticed him competing in what seemed to be a contested marking drill during Fridays training session, and looked to be doing very well at it. However, I was over the other side of the ground so someone else who was closer might be able to elaborate more.
He'll be sweet for round 1 IMO.

If Jack's foot holds up he's going to be a huge bonus for us this year.
Looking at him at training this morning he is in great shape.
Yeah I agree.
Definately bigger up top too as 666's photos show.

I went along this morning with my two kids, so didn't get to watch too many drills. It was bloody hot! The players did a 'round the world' goal kicking exercise, which most players were pretty accurate at.
They did some 400 run throughs as a group at the end (impressive as it was given the heat). Vanders to me was right up there, and pushed himself right to the end and was very vocal.
Best part was my kids getting some signatures, the players were more than happy to chat to them. My daughter even told Hogan that we have a dog named Jesse, which he joked about, when I told him it was a Staffie he was more than happy with that.
One thing of note and someone might know, the players were in a huddle in the middle and a big cheer went up. I don't know what it was about - maybe Jones' award last night????
Well done MFC, great morning for everyone!

I bloody love the fact that Trengove is able to kick footys around.
Kudos to all who are able to give us these updates, much appreciated from regional Queensland.
Mate, kudos to you also. It's been bloody tough being a Dees supporter when you live in Melbourne, let alone regional Qld.

JKH has no leg speed...
Maybe not, but he is a good depth player for us. And that is obviously something we haven't had in many years.

Fitness will be Petracca's issue. Hogan's a good endurance athlete, Tracc isn't and still isn't in full training.
He won't kick 40 goals either, but if he combines with Hogan, Garlett etc then suddenly having a potent forward line with multiple options might change the way we play and improve results.
Hogan and Garlett were a huge part of us going from 4 to 7 wins. Petracca could be worth another win or two which is heavy praise on a young kid in a team sport (and also an indictment on our forwards of previous years).
A forward line consisting of Hogan and Trac both crashing packs will have the opposition worried. Include leg speed of Kent, Garlett, JKH, ANB and Kennedy to get the loose ball - it's starting to look like a pretty potent line up!

The Club has confirmed that the training session on the 18th will now commence at 9.45am and end at 11.30am.
Sausages will be sizzling and coffee brewing before training starts.
Hopefully everyone is aware of the parking limitations around Gosch's Paddock.
Awesome. Definitely take the kids along to this, they can't wait for the season to start!

Oh no, hogan is going to leave us and play with the scum.......

A sterling rebuttal. For what it's worth I agree, Jack creates play in a way that neither of the other two are even capable of
Yeah he's very good at confusing his opponent into thinking he'll take a mark, but instead he'll cleverly duck his head and drop the mark so our crumbers can take off with the ball. The man is a genius!

Salem for me. Reckon he is going to be an absolute gun for us this year.
Also can't wait to see Frost in action again. Big unit and so quick.
Bring on 2016. Fingers crossed for no injuries.

Got mine and the kids packs this morning. I love watching them open them up, it's like early Xmas presents for them, heaps of goodies. Some great stuff in there for the little ones, even a back pack - the kids wore these around all morning

We have the first live pick, but who is this A grade player? I've watched all the highlights, read every post on here and I'm still none the wiser.
I really don't know, but going from the highlights clips it'd be Weideman for me.
Whoever we draft, here's hoping he becomes an A grader for us.
-
I'm sure that the Dee's have a player in mind which is why we traded up to 3 knowing that this player will not be available later in the draft.
Who that player is who the hell knows but I would hope it's a midfielder.
At least we will find out on Tuesday thanks god.
Completely agree.
I'm also thinking that they'll take a forward as opposed to Parish with pick 3 - we need a good A grade player to help Hogan, and we all know how frustrating a B grader in Dawes is. Having 2 A grade players up forward sets us up for years to come.
-
How do you know that?
We know no more than we did a week ago?
Can't really say, but the players will be very stressed at the moment.

But why don't we even hear reports of who has gone into the court etc?
I can tell you this - It is not looking good for the players.

Agree i have family in Warragul and i find dee-luded pose offensive and bizarre.
But i am not suprised.
Yeah me neither.
If he knew anything about Warragul he'd know that the region has produced some unbelievable footballers.
-
I don't know anything about him, or his twin; But I know Warragul,,, & it IS conservative central... & many are real religiously conservative & judgmental, & narrow minded.
..... for me, I hope he is not in this group.
buyer beware needs to be shown here.
Jonathon Brown would not choose Warragul, I'm sure of that.
What? How do you know Wgl enough to post such rubbish?
Jack Watts in 2016?

I don't gamble. But I made a $50 bet with a mate the other night that if we make finals next year he'll double whatever TAB's odds are (he'd be paying about 18-1).....
Figure it worth a go, it'll make the season very interesting.
