  1. Walsh said something very closely along the lines of: "back in my day, a player doing what vince was doing would've left the field on a stretcher."

I quite like Walsh though. He's anything but boring. But today's comments regarding the vince tag was lame

I loved Vince's job on Dangerfield.

I don't see the issue with what Walsh said though. I prob agree with him to an extent - years ago a lot of players would have whacked Vince for his tagging actions. It's just a different game now and Walsh acknowledges that.

  2. He brings a contest and forward pressure, but he is a number 2 forward. IMO he doesn't have the speed or hands to be a number 1.

Unfortunately we're asking and paying for him to be our no.1.

  3. I woke up this morning and thought it feels strange to be going to the footy and its actually back. But im excited and geez its a perfect day out there. I just hope at the end of the day im not feeling deflated and frustrated.

No excuses for a poor crowd today.

Except for the fact it's Easter holidays and half of Melbourne's population (incl myself) have gone away for the weekend.

Fwiw, I think we'll put in a good performance but won't come away with the cookies.

  4. It is in stereo with Robbo to the left and Dom to the right, so if you're hearing much more of one than the other, the problem is in your playback. If you can adjust your computer to hear equal amounts of left and right, the balance will be good.

Though not really a "roast", I enjoyed the relaxed kicking & handball conversation. Robbo didn't have to move his hands.

How did he handball if he didn't move his hands......

Sorry, really couldn't help myself :)

  5. I must admit, I'm not comfortable with a person coming back from a hamstring strain being the sub. Seems like a recipe for a recurrence given the inability to be properly warmed up when called upon.

Of course, I'm not a medical or sports science professional so my concerns may be completely unfounded.

Unless he was named on the field and then got subbed off....more comfortable now :)

  6. I'm with Wiseblood on his opinion on Fitzy.I dare say we would also agree with our thoughts on McKenzie,Spencer,Bail & Jones. But lets save that for another thread.

Sshhh, don't let Saty know that you have thoughts also.....he'll try to shoot them down also, then say "everyone's allowed to think for themselves".

  7. I understand people have opinions, based on many things, like Bill Shorten would make a better Prime Minister, but I love some of the he is a spud, he's no good etc, that then come back to haunt, Nev Jetta and Lynden Dunn spring to mind, but we also now have Stef Martin as a mistake when a lot on here couldn't get rid of him fast enough

I have opinions on many players, but I keep them to myself, because I am not on an AFL coaching panel, so I don't have the opportunity to work with and analyse players every day, I only get to see them on match day, but I also have faith in the club that down the track they will 'do the right thing' and move on any players they don't think will cut it, in their opinion

Seriously mate are you for real? Who made you gods gift to a football forum site.

You say you understand that everyone has an opinion, then don't shoot people down for expressing it. After all 'our opinion' is why most of us come on this site - to express themselves and to also vent.

  8. Billy, no he has just had rotten luck with illness and injury, he finally did his first full pre season this year and then got a virus that put him in bed for a week, just before the first NAB game, at least he can laugh about it.

He knows this is a make or break year, so of course if they suggest a move to full back, he is going to take it and give it the best he can

I'm a little confused on why all of a sudden when the season is about to start is he being "trialled down back".
