  1. Why do some find the need to include an apostrophe in the name Roos? It's Roos, not Roo's. Or should we start referring to Nathan Jone's, Jack Watt's, Jack Grime's, Chris Dawe's etc?

This just reaffirmed my belief that half of the posters on this site just need a go out and get a good shag....

  2. Here's some more stats that matter:

    Brent Moloney:

    Round 5 Disposals 36Cont. poss 16Inside 50's 7Clearances 10Round 17Disposals 0Cont. poss 0Inside 50 0Clearances 0

Demons Improvement between rd 5 and 17:

    Disposals +52Cont. poss +18Inside 50's +10Clearances +13

So other than 16 disposals the difference is almost entirely attributed to Beamer

What a rediculous post, lets not take into account the players possessions who took the field for him on rd 17.

I'm shocked that supporters can't see a huge improvement on attitude and effort post Neeld.

  3. If he'd only checked the airlines' schedules it might have been more convincing

On the subject of airlines, I'm off to Fiji on the weekend and I heard the airport has once again raised parking fees. So this time I thought I might support a competitor instead. I checked the Airports website and for the 8 days for what it was going to cost me - around $120. I then noticed this Get a Quote section, I never normally would type it in but I thought why not - Spat out this "supersaver deal" that if you prebook on line I could get it for $69.

Btw, I'm not a Tighta+#e - I just hate paying those pricks soooo much money to park in a glorified paddock!!!

    Ps. I'm bored....

  4. can someone explain to me why we are playing a home game away from home at the home ground of our opposition, while Collingwood play GWS at the 'g?

The thing that makes me mad is that we have to play one of our home games at Etihad against nth who's home ground is Etihad. Surely if we were forced to play one match there, we should play a interstate team there.

I just don't understand the madness of it...

  5. Today on SEN during KB's session, it was confirmed that Mitch could have played at the end of the year but with the amount of time he needed to get fit after his lay off, it would have meant that he may play one or two games. So the Club decided to not take any risks and get him ready with a full preseason for 2014. It was also mentioned that Melbournes forward line with Mitch, Dawes, Hogan and Howe will be a power forward line. I think we can expect some huge media coverage of this fact next year.

It's good to see the club was sensible for once.

Throw into that forward line Watts and Blease (who I reckon is going to click into another gear under a new coach) - All we need is a midfield to deliver it to them...

  6. It may be just you, chook! The foot is a brilliant combination of flexibility when required, and utter rigidity when being pushed off from. Bear in mind that in sprinting it takes 4 to 5 times the body weight in load at push off, and as such must be a completely rigid lever, then softens when not under load to allow conformation to uneven surfaces......bloody miraculous kit it is!

Have you got a foot fettish Webber?

  7. I don't understand why this club has had so many foot injuries. The injury report 3 or so weeks ago had Clarke, Evans, Viney, Jamar and we had Trengrove at the start of preseason (I think there was 1 more but I can't remember who it was).

IMO surely it has to be wrong footwear. I looked at other clubs injury lists and I could see barely any foot injuries - yet how can we have had 5?

  8. Now there is a surprise!

So eleven weeks now to recover in time to start pre season training?

I agree with resting and getting it right.

The thing I don't understand is how at rd 6 they were saying he'll be back in 6 or so wks, it's been more like 6 mths!!

  9. If you take a step back and think about it, we really are spoilt for choices;

I would have loved Roos, but stuff him if he wants to play games.

Eade and Choco - I originally thought Choco but after reading the above linked article about Eade, I'm starting to shift.

Craig - going well. But given last 1.5 years with Neeld think the club re sponsors and members need a fresh start.

Oh the choices....good luck panel, all 3 of them are A grade IMO.

  10. Totally agree.

I read in one of the papers that Jonesy's only missed 5 matches since his debut, he's an allround champion!

Same article mentioned that Howe hasn't missed one game since his debut, I think he racks up 50 this weekend - another champion of this team.

Well done fellas, I hope the club recognizes your contribution to date, as I know we do.
