  1. The counter-balance being that this would allow Freo to get both Hogan and Lobb, making them better; the points drop off being more substantial between the early picks compared to the later round 1 picks. Everyone gets what they want.
  2. And it speaks many languages...Freo should interpret that as many clubs. If they leave this unresolved then next year's bidding contest for Jessie could become a real bunfight.
  3. So, bistro maths time. In: Pick 5 (1,878 points), Pick 23 (815 points), Freo's 2019 R1 - guessing P5 (1878 points). Out Melb 2019 R1 - guessing Pick 15 (1,125 points). Equals 3,615 points. So that's about pick 5 & 6, albeit with a some degree of uncertainty for both clubs.

  5. Personal conjecture or have you heard something?
  6. I'd love GC to come into the picture; more scope for a fair deal.
  7. Well if Jessie doesnโ€™t get an offer from North Melbourne then he has every right to feel insulted.
  8. Itโ€™s morphing from a possibly future Fremantle full forward thread into a former Footscray rover thread.
  9. Talk about trash your brand, Freo's amateurish Hogan offer is bad enough, and if it's true that they were spreading of malicious rumours about Beams then their behaviour will harm them in inter-club dealings for many years to come.
  10. More like FGD
  11. Gouda for you!

  13. Getting the thread back on track, JD you make a good point here.
  14. The Big Footy 2018 or 2019 thread?
  15. So basically, what he said!
  16. I think 300 pages is โ€˜undersโ€™ and thereโ€™s no way weโ€™re accepting unders on this trade thread.
  17. Did you mean to say Kenya Uganda at the trade board? Anyway, I did; itโ€™s pretty Loas e. But not as bad as my dad/uncle jokes!
  18. No Russia
  19. Yeah, nah. Once you're out of the race for first, it's all over:
  20. Update via AFL website - Magpie gets two Moore years, Langon close. Moore staying at Collingwood could help our bargaining position with GCS.
  21. Agree with what @Jaded said. Tyson is a valuable player as an inside mid, but for us that position is currently well covered; playing him on the wing this year did neither the team nor Dom much favour. He could go on to carve out a very respectable career at St.Kilda / Essendon / Carlton.
  22. Not against it either. We have a strong young talent base - much of it 23 and under. So, whereas most premiership windows may typically last 3 to 5 years, ours could remain open for 6 to 8 years. Therefore any really high-quality draftee could meaningfully contribute (after 1-2 years development) for the bulk of this window. However if the trade-week machinations meant we could get Josh Kelly, then grab him!
  23. Oktoberfest finishes on the 7th, he better get his skates on!
  24. #freekickeagles giving #freekickhawthorn a run for its money.
  25. However, should he end up playing for a Perth based club, then every second week heโ€™d be guaranteed plenty of goals.
