The better teams would have to give up quality players to make it happen
-
I have always rated watts as a forward ( just my opinion ) would like to see him become a key forward down the track, geez Hogan really Is a man child isn't he
-
I'd still like to see watts put on five to 10.kg and play a key post
-
4 and 5 for Cameron and treloar?
-
I reckon Cameron is looking like being the best tall forward in the comp for 10 plus years, Fyfe and Danger are gun mids but I reckon Jack Viney and Dom Tyson could be as good as those types so i'd take Jeremy.
-
the other thing to consider is that Jeremy is going to cost at least a mil a year which I think he's worth, but also probably our first pick and a player, who would you be willing to part with to land him? get ready for them to ask for Tom Mcdonald and pick 5 or something like that, if we were to land Cameron it wouldn't be cheap.

The other thing that I think is getting overlooked here is that quite often captains and senior players fill an unofficial coaching role while they are playing anyway, understanding and explaining the game plan, providing the young players with tips and that sort of thing. Brett Kirk to me is an ideal option, Ross Lyon and Paul Roos are not blokes to pick duds and they both clearly rate Kirk, and he would walk in knowing the game plan inside out and be able to bring some tricks he has learned from Freo also, plus the other thing which is less relevant is I would say Kirk probably demands less than half the salary Bomber would, freeing up money to maybe bring in Ling or Voss as an assistant as well.

Hogan and Cameron could well be a dangerous forward line for the next 10 years and add dawes and watts to that and we are in a good spot 4 year deal 1 mil a year to get an all Australian key position forward who is only 20 and still has miles of room to improve. Sydney have players on that or more, hawthorn would be paying buddy that if he stayed, Geelong players take pay cuts to stay together but our culture isnt at that stage yet.

Does anyone have a link so I could watch it?
-
If that's the case we need Dom to send out some texts to Jeremy Cameron, sheil, treloar, and co and see if we can get a couple into the red and blue
-
I'd offer him a big front loaded contract, enough to entice him now but freeing up room as we need to start paying other blokes. We must have a heap spare with Clark gone now.
-
I reckon Freo will go hard at him
-
Big forwards take time, this one was all Australian at 19 playing in a rubbish side, he's a special talent and we should throw a couple of big deals at him and treloar
-
Watts has the talent to be a matchwinner, while i'm sure his role is to provide a target across half forward and use his great skills kicking it into the 50 and push into the midfield I feel he is also capable of kicking bags of goals and doing that at important times, I really see him settling into this position and growing.
-
Melbourne should offer Patrick Dangerfield a $10 million contract
Ted Lasso replied to DemonOX's topic in Melbourne Demons
Imagine landing both, it's not going to happen but a midfield of Fyfe, Jones, Viney, Dangerfield, Cross, Vince, Trengove, Tyson, Toumpas, Salem, M.Jones -
I would love to see Roos - Kirk, I just think he has a couple of years coaching in good systems under his belt that Ling doesn't. Stone - Voss, get one of the greatest midfielders of the modern era working with our boys as midfield coach when Georgie decided enough is enough and see if we can bring in Ling as a development coach.
-
Tell ya what, if ever there was a time for a break out game, Jack Watts, would love to see 25 quality touches, a few tackles and 3-4 goals and prove to be the difference in a massive upset, Winning this would be enormous for the confidence and culture of the group.

Maybe it's just the truth, the VFL review wasn't exactly warm and cuddly either.
-
Dawes means alot more to our side than hartlett does to theirs.
-
Doesn't cost us a pick if we take a free agent, depending on his deal he might net them a semi decent pick
-
When I think top 5 pick I think A grade player, gaff to me is a solid player who provides good run would contribute to our best 22 each week but probably isn't an A grader at the moment, May well become one. So our second round pick and maybe a fringe player as steak knives in my opinion would be a fair offer from our end.
-
He wont get done for that
-
Interesting to see if chip goes back for Shultz and we back gawn watts and pedo up front
-
I reckon that's about bang on fence
-
I'd be happy with Hodge if roos committed until 2016
