Kent is a jet, but i reckon Vanders is going to have a huge impact this year as well! those two will be a huge positive
-
Was he kicking on his left at all? to be totally honest i know it's not good at AFL level to be one sided but i'd be pretty happy for him to have a 90-10 ratio towards his right foot in an effort to protect his left a little more.

I just think he and his manager are playing it perfectly, the longer it goes the more his stocks rise, get his client the best possible deal to secure his financial future and his career at a club where he is happy, which i think will be the MFC
-
If Trenners does keep going the way he is i'd play him in the role we had Cross in, Half back who can mark, good user of the ball, rotating through the midfield with the odd tagging role

Did you offer him a pen so he can sign his new contract?
-
Just out of curiosity, does this appeal now mean it's up to the EFC essentially to prove they didn't take TB4, and to do so with no records?

Saturday Talking Point: How far can we improve in 2016?
Ted Lasso replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
I disagree, i think you have to allow for player growth before making these calls, Tyson for example is training the best i've seen him since joining us, if he has a year like his first at the club or better it's a significant bonus, Viney is improving all the time and will hopefully play injury free this year, Mcdonald, Gawn and Hogan i expect to all improve again, Garlett kicks a bit straighter and we will score more, he was creating alot of goal scoring opportunities, Lumumba is a far better player then we saw last year. Cross is a big loss, but i reckon Salem will improve enough to cover it, and he's still around the club for the experience -
Absolutely! should be a good game either way! best defense vs best offense :D
-
Absolutely, but Jack Martin is an absolute jet, when he gets a good run at things and is injury free, i think he's going to become an A grader pretty quickly, i think Jesse is already there though
-
Now lets lock Jesse and Daisy in a room together :D
-
From my point of view anything Jack does is a bonus from this point, if he gets back and becomes even a good player it will be a huge bonus for the club!

The recruitment of Weiderman suggests to me that neither Dawes or Pederson are in the long term planning unless they significantly lift their game, as such i wouldn't be surprised to see Weiderman blooded fairly early on depending on form.
-
What makes you say that?
-
Going against the grain and tipping the Broncos, i think a universal sporting law seems to be that a strong defense will help you win big games, they were able to beat the Patriots who i thought would win the superbowl, so if they managed that, i see no reason they can't topple the Panthers.
-
A rule change suggestion that had been thrown around a while ago was the possibility of introducing 1 franchise player per team and being able to pay that player outside the normal salary cap, that'd be handy right now.
-
100% agreed and i personally am extremely confident
-
Agreed, so far he has detailed documents about what was given, but he doesn't the players weren't given TB4, doesn't deny giving TB4 but argues that it isn't performance enhancing, just seems to be digging himself a deeper and deeper hole.
-
Hasn't he been saying that he infact does have those and some smoking gun evidence that is going to clear the players?
-
Just some points to add to this, Dom came back in amazing nick from his break, it's clear he is determined to really get back to his best form and beyond this year, it's been a pretty good pre season for him in terms of injury and he's training as well as i've seen him train, looks a bit bigger and stronger and moving well, winning plenty of the ball and generally using it well, we know he has class but i think it's really clicked for Dom just how hard he needs to work to cover the pace he lacks, Jack Viney is a pretty good example of this i reckon
-
" the suggestion that it's performance enhancing is laughable " So he isn't denying that they took a banned supplement, just suggesting that it shouldn't be Banned? lol whether it's performance enhancing or not is irrelevant if they didn't take it, Mr Dank.

I don't believe any AFL club would have many elite prospects that they don't know, let alone a young key forward from the West, they may have underestimated him but i have no doubt he was always going to be a target if he showed any interest in going back to Perth, exactly the same as Jesse would.
-
While i agree 100% it was a silly move, i think AFL clubs can be very persuasive places, most are very good at selling a vision and he wouldn't be the first player to sign a deal and then think, what on earth have i done? but GWS should have just traded him, whatever point they were trying to prove is going to result in them losing them for far less now.

I am a bit of a Jayden hunt fan i must admit, i really hope he can get an extended injury free run.
