Oh yeah we're talking about EFC lol
-
Surely they'll see that they had to go to CAS to get a fair trial, the AFL were going to do anything to get them off.

CHF in the vic team of the year, in a VFL side that made the GF and has shown some very clear AFL level attributes, if it were my call i'd absolutely be taking him, would love to see the rationale of a person who didn't want him on their list, even as a rookie -

The biggest and most obvious difference is the standards, when they play they bring the effort and intensity every week, we bring it maybe 40% of the time and that shows why one team missed the finals and one team is playing in a grand final with every chance to take it out. so much of the development within this group comes when we bring that effort and attack on the ball for 4 quarters more often than not, our best is good enough to play in and win finals but if you drop off any team will expose you. -

His post doesn't make sense GNF, it says that Jesse has been given time and space to work things out and deal with a personal issue, how can they claim they're doing that but also have a time frame on an answer from Jesse, surely it's one or the other. if he's genuinely torn than any time frame puts pressure on that decision which makes giving him time and space in a difficult time for his family totally pointless doesn't it? if that's the way the club deals with a young man in a difficult time of his life i'd be really dissapointed, and absolutely shocked if Jesse is a demon by the end of trade week. -
I reckon Luke Parker has been very good in a team that has hardly lost all year.
-
I reckon it's extremely brave to assume anything with the EFC, especially if that assumption involves them doing the right thing.
-
The biggest issue being that Jetta hadn't had 2 navicular injuries in 2 years, there is no doubt he will still have to be managed carefully so it will be a balancing act as to how much strain can go on that foot.

will be very interesting indeed, seems as though the Hogan camp is on total lock down as far as info goes so i doubt anyone is going to get much info for a while on this one. -

I'd be shocked if he isn't drafted, i'd absolutely be looking at him, especially with at least one of Dawes and Pedo leaving. we've had a very close look so we're in a very good position to make a call. -

point taken "Dazzle" seems the genuine inside info on Demonland is quite thin these days. -

Reminds me of a year 8 student copying small extracts of different google results to try and put together an assignment they've forgotten to do until the night before, lots of little snippets of things said on here or in the media all blended together and leading to one conclusion, you, like most of demonland has no idea what Jesse is doing and is seemingly unwilling to commit one way or another, just dancing around the question. for the record, i think he'll stay. -
I reckon you're right, why is a team that has been so unwilling to admit guilt, suddenly so happy to pay millions in compo?

Cheers Roosy -
Not sure many would have predicted Watts would have the season he did.
-
Because he's a highly talented and highly professional young player, absolute aerobic beast and if he can pick up a little more speed with a full pre season he could easily be the hard running mid we currently desperately lack, he'd be getting paid peanuts and worst case scenario provides strong leadership and depth at VFL level, keeps pressure on the seniors, there is absolutely zero risk in giving him another year and potential for significant reward. the issue with your point of view is you're making this call based on the now, in his first 2 years i'd have Trenners ahead of at least half of your top list, the club is clearly backing him to recapture his pre injury form. people seem to forget just how good he was before his injury, and forget that we lose very little- nothing by giving him another year.
-
Absolutely! imagine the dirty secrets that would have come out if someone could have made Dank speak under oath, i suspect we'd be looking at the EFC very differently
-
Weid is an obvious talent but i still think he needs another 2-3 pre seasons, he has to add some size and improve his running power to consistently impact at AFL level, but he's good serious talent and i think he'll be a very good AFL key forward. Hulett is an interesting one, kind of comes with an AFL body, i think he needs to work on his running ability and try and become a super mobile Gunstan type key forward, not sure how high his ceiling is but he's already a strong VFL performer and i don't think it's a stretch to think he'll be playing AFL next year

I remember watching them on the weekend and seeing so much in what they do being what Macca teaches the players in his small groups at training, gettting low when attacking the ground ball and so on, they're taught to play inside and outside footy the right way from the start and they develop well into at least solid role players, which allows them to have 35 players on their list ready to step up at play a role at AFL level at any moment. -

Agreed, we can and i'm sure have asked his management where his thinking is at, but if we want to trade Jesse we have to convince him to go. -
So we should recruit a guy who lowers his eyes rather than just simply tell our players to lower theirs?
-
I can 100% promise you JT is not a dumb footballer, he is if not the sharpest footballer at our club, top 2-3. he has a new contract so regardless of what you or i think he will be playing next year, and he'll have a full pre season to prove he isn't done yet. i would prefer to wish him all the best rather than suggest we delist a contracted former captain.
