I wouldnt underestimate these signings.. these are fresh draftess and all three are showing great signs that they will be very good players. No doubt there will have been clubs already looking at all three of them and trying to get them after their 2 year contract ended. Its a ruthless industry, the more young talent we lock away early the better.

I guess the lid is off? -
Crossy, B Mac, Craig Jennings.... sign them all long term up and whoever else is behind all this magic.

Kane Cornes could only fit two Demons in the AFL.com team of the week. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2018-05-29/kane-cornes-team-of-the-week-r10-who-makes-it Hes usually pretty spot on, but he was way off on this. Hibberd, Oliver, Jetta, Lever, Viney and Gawn all robbed. Yes we should have had 8 players in there after that masterful performance. -
I see that powerhouse Carlton are playing this Friday night, again. Well done, AFL House. You deserve your poor ratings.

Screw the media, they're irrelevant. -
And he leads the league in goal assists. Should be in the All Australian discussion, his impact on games is huge.

Salem snagged a vote from the coaches but I don't think hes been mentioned once in this thread... quietly having a very nice season.

I bet Bull will bob up with a bag of 5 goals soon enough. The list of players we have that are capable of doing that is growing by the week. Firepower a plenty. -
Preaching to the choir, Gorg. Well aware that Paris is indeed a [censored] hole.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - TIM SMITH

Such a beast and yet another massive boost for the team almost as if from nowhere. The rest of the AFL are petrified, we just keep bringing in layers that make an impact and our depth is unparalleled. -
Gawn is on a level all his own.
-
Hogan, Oliver and Gawn at this stage would be surely in there.

If they made a MENSA society for footy geniuses, Oliver would be first invited. His football IQ is off the charts. -
Gawn and Hogan missing half the season each was the reason for that. They lead us contested marks per game this season again. (T Mac third).

I thought that was odd. Why didnt they do that before or after the game? They flew all the way to Alice, let them watch the game for the love of god.

If we take care of the Doggies this weekend and the Pies take care of the Dockers... we are going to see the biggest Queens Birthday probably ever. A crowd of 90k+ would be a possibility.
-
Humble brag. ?
-
Thats incredible. I notice we are 18th in the league in bounces. We have had 34 bounces all season compared to Esenedon with a league leading 109. St Kilda and the Doggies are in the top 5. Again proving that speed is largely irrelevant in the AFL. Ball movement is king.

I actually chuckled a few times at how he just went after the ball, bulldozing through multiple Crows players and they couldn't do a thing about it. He decided he wanted the footy so he just went in and got it in a sea of players. Like he just said '[censored] it, I may as well hit top form second game back from a long layoff'.
