I know it's a technicality but we didn't delist Fitzy. We traded him to Hawthorn for pick 94. I recall reading somewhere we did this so that he could start training with them before the delisted free agents period which would have otherwise set him back a couple of weeks.
Say what you will but our handling of outgoing players has certainly improved.

A big screw you to the umpires and a special up yours to BT on MMM.
We did ourselves no favors today with our ball use but seriously, the umpires can get f***ed.

As a loyal demon, where do I sign my pact with the devil to make this happen?
I believe the traditional method as per Robert Johnson is to head down to the crossroads and fall down on your knees.
The devil will explain the rest.
I've always liked Cream's version.

Unbelievable, the top ten highlights in the AFL site include the attempted mark by Rioli, has it got to that stage? Maybe we can include any of his near miss goals in the goal of the week.

What happens if the person who lost it knows roughly where they dropped it. There's CCTV cameras in the area which capture old man KrazyJay putting it in his pocket and walking away. KrazyJay's kids go to the school and he could easily be recognised on the CCTV footage. Parents will talk and his kids will have to leave the school. They'll grow up hating their Dad and may become criminals themselves.
Just saying....
And there's already too many Collingwood supporters in this world.

I am sure that the AFL, in their infinite wisdom and with their infinite foresight and judgement, would dream up some sort of solution on the run.
They could revert to a "count back" like the old days of the Brownlow.

I think you'll find the net points for / points against difference between us and Norf currently is 138 points ie 3 x 23 average winning margin for the Dees and 3 x 23 average losing margin for Norf would see a dead heat (how is that resolved I wonder?). Challenging for sure but not beyond the realm by any stretch, particularly a Norf without Ben Brown.
If I recall correctly back in 2011 we drew with the Swans in Round 1.
As a result both teams obviously had the same points and percentage. (2 and 100%)
The ladder at the end of Round 1 that year had Melbourne 8th and Sydney 9th.
Ladder positions were determined alphabetically.
Should we conclude this season on the same number of wins and percentage as North it would be an awesome twist to knock them out of the finals ALPHABETICALLY.

Anyone else still sneaking in a watch or two of this where possible? I feel a bit silly given that it's now Wednesday, but I can't help it. If I had time I'd probably watch the whole replay again.
The hair on my arms and neck still stands up on the Stretch goal to get us back in front.
No shame in that.
I've watched all the goals a few times and watched the last quarter again last night. I think I will watch both again tonight if time permits .
I know the feeling re Stretch's goal. It was electric being there.
Clearly to get my next high we're gonna have to win a premiership.
Most likely I'll pass out at that point though.

Hawthorn posters on BigFooty are incensed about the umpiring bias in Melbourne's favour.
This is why I try to avoid commenting on umpiring, or let it affect me too much either during games or after. We watch everything through biased eyes, it causes us to only see the poor decisions that go against us.
Sam Mitchell spends the whole game sooking to the umpires so it's no surprise that the supporters pick up his bad habits.

Back to me:
Thrilled to have been there today. Effort was superb. I'll be stopping by a few offices on Monday morning to have a chat.

This was floating around on one of the Facebook pages today. Is that your third hand information source?
No. Heard it from a real person but third hand.
As stated : only putting it out there so I don't kick myself in 2 months should it eventuate.
I absolutely have no inside info.
2 years ago a (different) person told me Frawley was off to the Hawks prior to that happening. Although that is now generally accepted to have been pretty obvious

Worst decision of the year. Watch the maggots spin that one away....
And what's with the umpire obviously coaching Lynch not to run off the mark for the shot after the siren.
Let him make the mistake. It's none of their business.

Can't see this one coming true
Like I said: third hand info.
Perhaps Sydney already have a few expensive players they know they will be offloading?
Just don't want to kick myself in 2 months for not having mentioned it if it happens.

I'm amused that three individual footballers will receive Brownlow Medal votes from that match.
Umpires will give 3 2 1 to Gold Coast players.
Suprised they didn't find a way to pay a mark to GC on the goal line from Lynch's kick after the siren.

What I find tricky these days is that there doesn't seem to be a way to see who has changed their username. The old forum version had a username history so that you could figure out who was now who.
Sometimes when a user changes their name it takes me a few weeks to figure it out by the style of their posts (or the players they like/dislike).
