Did anyone watch the Casey game ? Seriously only Sestan and Moniz-Wakefield would be capable.  Both deserve a game.

outs.  Brown again, Petty, Billings, Lever (concussion) Chandler (knee)

in.  JVR.  Langdon.  Sestan. AMW.  Tomlinson.

Whoever made the call on Langdon last week  will probably move TMac forward this week!...that's who should go ( I dont mean Tom )

This thread has once again turned into a “woe is me, we have the worst team and our coach is awful” joke.

Why can’t we comment about issues without resorting to degrading our best forward or getting stuck into our premiership winning coach?
Not everything is perfect, but [censored] you’d think we are North Melbourne.

True but what is consistent is that they never take the golden opportunities to establish their ladder position

They should finish this game second on the ladder  after Swans, %

Now they are at risk of losing to a bottom placed team.

It doesn't matter who you blame, the how or why.

It's the guys on the ground and I don't mean the umpires .

Season after season it's getting predictably tiresome

    Agree

As I said if I was the Bulldogs I would have traded JUH (to whom they are paying $1M) and got Weitering at $1.5M.

They are failing in the backline big time but with a key pillar down back they would move up into the next bracket.

Get Max King from the Saints is my thinking.

He might just need a change of scenery.

Throw money at him and find some speed in the draft mid season or end if season...

    Somehow!!! ( lol)

We had 5 players on 10 games or less. And McVee and JVR on 28 games and 33 games respectively

We were a very young side out there. Maybe they underestimated us.

Haven't seen one media commentator point out our young team. Its all Geelong were off. Crapola

Most reports I saw were about the Demon defence

  5. I might have observed last week that the Dee's had no one other than May and Gawn who could take a contested mark.

Big mistake by me,but it's true that catching it in contests makes a big difference .

Maybe JVR can step up sometime soon

I actually am thinking towards seasons end in terms of just show me something (I think we’re actually we’re actually working towards to be in place by seasons end) to make go yep I can see it. The result whilst I want to win is secondary

This could be either that or the game that drives the stake into the Demons heart.

    Than next week..

Almost 50 /50..losing to every genuine contender.

Yeah it's a tough draw and a big fortnight.

How good is to have a game vs Geelong NOT in Geelong (first time since R4, 2021)

I'm interested to see how they play Petracca today. O'Connor not being named would suggest they aren't going to have anyone sit on him, but after the relative success Brisbane & Richmond had I'm curious to see what they have up their sleeve. Surely they wont let him run around doing as he pleases?

But what will be our excuse then?

    Ours, not the teams.

Saturday morning is one of the best parts of my week. Lie in, brewed coffee and toast. All spoilt by having every media outlet (TV, social media & internet)gushing over everything Pies, Collingwood, and Daicos. Vomit inducing.

Having said that, yes Daicos can be soft, but he is an absolute gun if you give him a centimetre of space and has a habit of being "lucky" late in games. No luck, simply a very good footy brain and super skills to execute in high pressure moments. And channel 7 constantly showing his dad Peter is excruciating, but he is now a channel 7 person so this is going to go on for some time.

Is it wrong to want a whisky so early in the morning? I will leave the Dalmore, and maybe go the Monkey Shoulder (best budget whisky in the world). This might get me over all this Collingwood BS.

Does not complimenting Daicos earn you  3 weeks on Lands sidelines.?

Saved by alcohol reference I guess

Imagine if the Blues had won.

The best that can be said is they have got them both out of the way so weekend footy can proceed.

Perhaps free of BT and what must must have been last night's worst commentary team they could put together

Rohan, Stanley and Duncan also possible/probable exits at year's end.

    On other matters:
The Cats scored 10 goals in the first half on Saturday. Dangerfield played a major part in about 5.
    He'll be missing.
Tuohy and Ollie Henry booted 6.1 between them. I can't see that happening this week.
Hawkins held goal-less the last three weeks. Fair chance we'll make it four.
Hopefully Judd can do a better job on Miers than the Carlton backs did.
Miers booted 2.0 and a couple of his 22 disposals set up goals.

Yeah they're [censored]  and you're hilarious

The Dee's are a shoe in

Ah can I sir please?  😃

Seriously Fritta plays timid?  (I have a vested interest - the avatar is Fritta standing the mark).

In one sense for his size he has to.  He tried the well timed bump against one of the Lions and ended up on his posterior.

Consequently he will not be able to hold the ball in the forward line..which obviously was my point.

He may kick 6( I should have said that as well)

This will be a good game. I think Geelong should be favorites and have the better form, their last two wins full of merit.

Melbourne got a bit beat up before the bye with Oliver and May both playing injured.

Our advantage is that we have had two long stretches between games and after taking a while we got our game going in the second half last week, we are the fresher team this time around. May, Oliver and Petty should be improved, we should be focussed and hopefully Geelong are a bit flat.

I fear they may need the flu running through the list to even the odds.

Hawkins is due ,Cameron is up and about all over the front end of the ground,Melbourne forwards can't catch it,Fritsch plays timid ,Kossies "pressure" is rarely a tackle and the ball will rocket out towards to two aforementioned Cats at speed preventing  anyone from stopping it .

No need to insult me ,I hope to be proved wrong

Frustrating to watch how the cats find a way not to bottom out and attract free agents &  power forwards like Cameron, one of the challenges of our club who has to compete with 9 clubs in melb vs the uniqueness of Geelong/lifestyle & able to train and play on their home ground

What's wrong with living out Casey way or  on Hoddle Steet I say

Petty will not get dropped, are we friggin serious?

I still query Petty as the saviour up forward but he's a cog, not the main man, either forward or back.

His form  won't improve if he  doesn't play in his allocated position consistently.

He stays in and he stays forward .

Interesting observation. Essendon were particularly strong in the air. In 2021, with Jackson, Gawn, TMac, BBB  May and Lever that was our modis operandi too.

    Contested marking is gold
