Nein, mein herr, mensch as a Yiddish term has been around long before the Balfour Declaration. And, just for the record, nobody hates US so-called 'Cultural Imperialism' and everything it stands for more than me.

Yes but it's only become popular in the West because Jewish idioms have become standard on American sitcoms like Seinfeld.

Billings has just played his BEST game and u want to drop him?? Nar no way. Petty was woeful.

Agree and do those calling for McAdam understand he is nowhere near match fit ?

Only came on for 10 minute bursts then rested at 3/4 time

David Rodan, Tomas Bugg, Joel MacDonald and Alistair Clarkson. Now better known for post playing activities.

Shaun Smith. Mark of the century but in hindsight a bad taste in mouth for other reasons.

Jordan Lewis. Helped us get out of the doldrums.

Joel McDonald was arguably the biggest "howler" we made in recent history.

For some reason bizarre PR reason the club was telling its members what a coup it was recruiting Joel when in fact he was a plodding journeyman.

Anyway we took him & next pick Tigers picked Dylan Grimes (whose brother Jack was already at the Dees).

Probably the crime of the century.

As an All Australian under 18 in his draft year, you can understand why the club drafted him at pick 15.

History will tell you KP youngsters take time to develop their body. Jeffo was drafted 18 months ago. 20 year old kids rarely play senior AFL footy at his age.

It’s posts and the anxiety such as yours Cranky that rile me with focussing on the negative. I would suggest the people on here backing Jeffo, including me, have the same anxiety as you. I just choose to sit back and wait to see how it unfolds and not behave in a way that is negative.

Very selective in your argument there old chum.

You could say the same thing about Luke Molan or Lucas Cook.

Any top 20 pick who after 12 months is struggling in the VFL is a real concern.

I along with many Demonlanders have watched him a dozen or more times & he has shown very little.

The icing on his cake was the last game of 2023 where he failed to record a stat of any kind.

  5. Both Cameron & Kosi should have got off. The sensible thing to do with those type of tackles is to judge them on the outcome.

If the tackled player is injured you are gone if not you are gone.

U are kidding, plenty on here are Totally slagging him of! He has just turned 20. Really good young bloke who can and will learn. Get a grip!

All Australian at Under 18. Pick 15.

The 3 picks after him have all played senior football & he is still struggling to have any impact at VFL level so it's hardly surprising supporters are very nervous.

Laurie Fowler was a reliable and consistent back pocket, nothing more.

You don't know what you're talking about.

Apart from his early days at Melbourne Fowler played as a ruck rover ie on the ball. He was outstanding for us and was selected for Victoria a couple of times.

3 B&F & one second placing in 7 seasons.  An outstanding player for us.

The fact that Robbie Flower only won 1 B&F remains a mystery but voting is clearly a subjective matter.

I dunno Roost, you showed plenty for the Chum Creek under 9s. Show a bit of patience. Some kids develop at different pace. Remember how some were calling for McVee to be delisted at the start of last season.

You're making this up. As far as I remember nobody ever called for McVee to be delisted.

    Where's your proof  ??

    Herman's Bay ???? WTF

    Maybe you mean Hermannsburg.

    Somewhere near Traegarar Park.

Geography & spelling are not Demonlander strong suits.

  10. Anyone have any idea what's up with Ed Langdon.

He is still playing solid footy & contributing but is way off his AA form of 2020-2022.

He is a bit fumbly & disposal is a bit sloppy.

Is it the haircut or are other teams targeting him ? Would love to see him back to his best.

Unless Melbourne rule May out for 6+ weeks, playing him this week over any other poses no more risk than the next. Keeping him out of the Adelaide match then playing him against Brisbane makes absolutely 0 difference to his recovery.

That's probably the silliest comment ever posted. Maybe they can use that logic for acl injuries.

    You don't

They spent two first rounders on Kelly. They have had the number 1 pick in 2022 and 2023.

Agree poor list management. Overspent on Kelly, paid too much to keep Nic Nat & his last years he struggled & overspent big bucks on keeping Darling & McGovern.

Dont believe it’s rushing. If he wasn’t right, he wouldn’t play. If he wants to play and the club tick the relevant boxes keeping him out won’t make a difference in my opinion. He is at no more risk playing this week than next.

That's complete BS spin by the Club. Langdon "ticked all the boxes" after his rib injury yet he played with 2 sleeping bags wrapped around his chest & struggled for several games.

Players like May are veterans & should be wrapped in cotton wool.

I asked Maisie if he would be playing tomorrow.  Responded with a cheesy grin: “I think so, if it I get hit it will hurt, but I’ll just have to wear it”.

He was involved in a few (light) contested marking drills vs Roo.  Roo won most of them, but Maisie appeared to be unhindered.  He did seem to struggle a bit when the ball hit the deck, but he often does that.

    My guess is he’ll play.

Just a very stupid idea to be considering rushing back a veteran like May. Petty clearly came back a week too early but luckily it didn't affect the result.

Goodwin does this regularly - in 2022 rushing players not 100% or lacking match fitness ie Langdon & Salem & last year playing Gawn in the final with a sore toe.

There is no need to do it.
