Im all for people being entitled to their own opinion, but what do u think yourself??? id be interested for anyone who thinks Connolly is a strong candidate to give some reason other than he played(not that well) for the Dees

If the rumours of Connolly possibly being our coach next year continue im thinking a petition could be put together and taken to the game in the last couple of weeks of the season..By then the snow will have melted and we could get at least 20000 signatures.LOL... I actually dont think Gardenier will have a bar of him, but just in case. i could not handle connolly at the Dees.

Id say ratten will coach Carlton next year, remember sticks basically runs the club.

Im not convinced that voss can just step up and be a senior coach, although if anyone cane these days its probably Him and Bucks...... Connolly... if he comes ill have to consider if i still support the dees, He is a joke and everything he has done at Freo( soft team, ill disiplined and mentally weak) are all the things we are susceptible too, that and technically he has no idea.. To me if they dont take the punt on Vossy it should and will be either Guy Mckenna or The Horse Longmire....Ross lyon may not have set the world on fire at the saints yet, but he is the mould of the modern coach and McKenna and Longmire fit that bill, in my opinion better.

First time i ve been back on sibce i posted this thread yeasterday...... and in that time its been announced ND will be finishing up friday night. Just wanted to point out that despite the fact i think it s a positive that ND will step aside straight away i didnt mean to give the impression that im not a Danners fan, I love the Rev and his passion for the club, even if the next coach has more success it will be hard to like them as much because with danners you new he lived and breathed the Dees. That said i think he will be back at another team and if his tactical abiltiy by then improves to match his passion he will probably achieve the final step that he couldn t at melb. Voss was just an example.......... another advantage of bringing someone in now, is that they can coach some of the fringe players for ten rounds before deciding whether to axe them or not at years end.... i dont want next year to be a learning process, this years bad enough

Just wondering what people think, to me i dont see the point in a lame duck coach staying on. Why not try and bring in Voss/other now.. that way we hit next year at full steam. Just a thought

Im so glad someone put this thread up..... the commentary from Christian was a disgrace, if nothing else you would think at this level they would be professional.. it really ruins the game when u have to liusten to the f@#kin crap that he dishes up.. and for those that say dont listen, you get no atmosphere when u cant here the crowd...... i always am grateful when the dees play on fox, most of the commentary there is pretty good.. maybe not as over the top but generally pretty even minded.

I still shake my head each week when i see D. Ward in the run on side.. id much rather he played left right out.. surely were at the stage where frawley or another youngster is getting big game experience

like i said im a parent and played plenty of footy, and yep there s alot said on the footy field but this is so different. alot of coaches have come out today saying this goes way beyond sledging. but you probably no more about footy than them. yeah right

Never read your posts before so im not sure if you always right crap, but you clearly have no idea. People belt each other on the footy field all the time its a tough physical game. 99.99% of people that play footy however dont talk about haviing sex with young children.. My point was also that if someone said something to James hird or Bucks about there kids we d be ok with them belting the person. Headlands history should play no part.

I ve just logged on and flicked through this thread for the first time. This Forum has some seroiusly deluded people. I love the Dees and the game of AFL, i log onto this site because we all share a passion for the club that no one else can relate too. However at the end of the day footy is sport, a GAME. I have played plenty of Footy and i also have a six year old son. What Selwood said(If true, Bet it is). This goes way outside sport. Headland had every right to react the way he did. Given the chance he should have done more. For those of you who arent parents you shouldnt comment, because you cant comprehend the protectivness u feel for your children. i certainly didnt til i became a father. Im not an aggressive person at all, but when it comes to my son my blood boils easily. Some of you have compared this to racism...... And there is one element that applies... Imagine it the other way round if Headland and his daughter were as white as Selwood, and Selwood was an Aboriginal. You would all be calling for blood. Footy is a tough game, but it is a game and this is a filthy act, as low as it gets and brings the game into a shocking light. The Eagles are overpaid, arrogant buffheads and continue to show this, AND SELWOOD YOU ARE THE BIGGEST SCUM OF ALL.

Tommorrow s papers will all have some views on why the Demons after three rounds are sitting at the foot of the Afl mountain, not only last, but unlike the other winless teams we have nt even been in a game after half time. These same papers during the off season/pre season all had there turn at proclaiming the Dees as the great white hope of the Victorian clubs. So why has it happened. We ll read the papers tomorrow and get there view but im interested if everyone could (without throw away one liners) would care to put down their points of view. I know its only round three and we made the finals last year after the same start last year. BUT this year is very different. Not just for the Dees but in my opinion the other teams have come along way this year. Carlton, Brisbane and Essendon are three good examples of this. Geelong look to be going in the right direction and Port are showing promise. All these teams missed last years eight and yet are playing far better footy than we are. there s no easy games this year and a mid season re surgence will be very difficult. So give your opinion ( ill give my in a reply so this doesnt look like an essay and maybe we can unearth the problem/s and come up with some solutions. Because unlike Caro, sheean and the rest we love the Dees and it makes our week when they win and things get broken when they lose. I figure our opinion counts for something.

anyone else thinking about 2008 yet???? Yes we may have major injuries, but most are forwards and backs and yet its our midfield who are just terrible at the moment. No numbers at the drop of the ball and no tackling pressure that we did so well last year. Cant belive ive waited since last september for this garbage.

Exactly...... This is Hawthorn not the Eagles. All though its only round two we have not improved over the last 3-4 years and thats a big worry when you look at the way teams like essendon and the lions have started. We started poorly last year, so although we know that all is not lost, it begs the question how can it happen again?????????

Deep third quarter and going from bad to worse.. No yze so i guess some people on here will have to find someone new to blame. Fact is our midfield doesnt work hard, our forwards dont crumb and our disposal of the backline is poor. VERY POOR EFFORT
