Down from interstate. Feel like itās a BIG game and donāt want to just watch this one at home. where do the dee faithful gather for such things? Might be good to meet a few landers while Iām there!

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
As I saw it, Gus was THE poster boy for a selfless club. 3rd in a brownlow playing in the middle, then makes way fr the 3 demon bulls and plays both defensive wing and HBF. Excelling at both. Losing Jackson may be the bigger loss on field in time but in terms of the culture and many intangibles Gus was irreplaceable. Iām stoked.

OUR USE OF THE SUB RULE
Or how about forget the āinjuryā rule altogether?. you could have a 23rd man that can only come on when one player goes off permanently. Ie once subbed there is no return to the ground fr the eat of the match. Do it too soon and the club risks losing a player to injury w no replacement.

Reckon North would want our entire Jackson haul fr Larkey. Theyād never let him go.

Is he so different to what JVR could be for us? Reckon we might just go with what we already have here.

Farewell Luke Jackson
As much as I love Dogga, I also think heās lacking a certain maturity. As was I at his age and way more so! If, as certain āin the knowā posters are saying, heās gone, then we need to get around him as a team and get the absolute best out of him NOW. He may allow himself to be distracted by it all and thatās just rubbing salt into wounds. Weāre a chance for a flag and heās a big part of that. So i hope the team supports him and we get the absolute best out of him possible in the push fr a flag THIS year.

CHANGES: Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
Heās the best player in the comp, with a brownlow on the line as well as a team top 2 finish. Heāll play.. but prob with painkillers.

Yze to coach GWS?
With respect, itās nothing to do with MFCSS nor any implication weāre a basket case. Just a hard reality to bear if it plays out.

Yze to coach GWS?
I canāt blame him but FMD we may lose Brayshaw, Jackson and Yze in one off season hit.

POSTGAME : Rd 18 vs Port Adelaide
Hope yr right but honestly it looks more like a sudden loss of mobility. like he canāt grab the ball and spin to kick it from the ruck anymore and heās falling over so much more in there too now . No questions re his courage or his intent but watching him at the bounces i can see heās not quite right. I donāt know much about the syndesmosis iām just hoping it can actually really heal b4 finals.

POSTGAME : Rd 18 vs Port Adelaide
Gawn not himself at all and is clearly is being hampered. Anyone know anything about the injury he has and if heās going to just labour thru the rest of the year now or get better?

GAMEDAY: Rd 18 vs Port Adelaide

NON-MFC: Round 18, 2022
Except when i see them post game they look like theyāre cruising. Not too excited or pumped up. They seem to have a lot in their tank still.

NON-MFC: Round 18, 2022
yep. Itās hard to say isnt it, but right now theyāre the flag favorites. Gonna take a lot of beating to get past them now.

NON-MFC: Round 18, 2022
iām genuinely surprised how [censored] the saints are ⦠theyāre going backwards.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Yep great article. Iām sure it must have been mentioned as this thread is a long one, but maybe freo are just trying to get us to overpay so they can shake Brayshaw loose.

What They Are Saying at Moorabool Street
Barring the GF victory, This was the happiest moment of my supporting life. Unexpected, unbelievable, after the siren, Geelong at Geelong and for top spot! Will never forget this...and I imagine neither will they.

NON-MFC: Round 16, 2022
Itās trippy isnāt it. We could finish anywhere in the top 8. Weāre top, a game and % clear after 15 games, but zero feelings of certainty in 22.

NOT Taylor Walker
Anyone watching Tex today is gonna have to think twice about not wanting him at the dees. Heās destroying us⦠with some help from the umps.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Itās an interesting dilemma for us. IF ( and itās still just an if) we lose Jackson to Freo , then we lose one of our stars to one of our direct competitors in the next few years. Not ideal in anyones books. They are going to have to pay and I can only hope it doesnāt dimish us too much.

Farewell Luke Jackson
In all three cases the player was [censored] off at the club he was leaving. They badly wanted out. LJ has a flag and a rising star, I just canāt see him doing this to us.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Also Travis Cloke from years ago w the pies. But they were both Vic boys.

Farewell Luke Jackson
True. With Jackson they would certainly be fr some years to come. But can they trade for him? or pay him what heās after? We couldnāt get the Cerra deal done I canāt see how they would be able to do this one either. Unless Im missing something?

Farewell Luke Jackson
Any trade on LJ will be a big loss really. However if that trade helped keep Gus and Oliver then I suppose that needs to be considered as part of things as well, however sad I felt about it. But we would then head into 2023 then needing both a ruck and a key forward, with our season at massive risk to a Gawn injury. My own gut feeling is that he leaves...but that as he matures he lives to regret it. Genuine flag windows like the one we're in dont come along that often ...and for some players not at all. He's cutting off maybe 3 more years of playing in that possibility. Its not that I wouldnt wish him well....and I could rewatch the end of the 3rd to remind me , but I would be hoping he doesn't get to play in another premiership.
