  1. Its true. He nails those shots. Something that few are talking about is what happened on the mark as trac went for that shot though/ The 2nd carlton player was way too close to the mark BEFORE the umpire called play on...and came closer BEFORE the umpire called play on. It was all happening pretty quick but seen 50's Seriously should have been 50 I think. It meant that trac didnt have the clear run at it he could have. Perhaps he should have gone back and had the men on the mark cleared out of and just taken his time. He can roost it that distance for sure.

That’s quite detailed Hawk… and obviously exciting. Is the source decent?

The improvers get all the attention don’t they! Being consistently at the top top level you can get over looked. Imo Goody has had his best season in the chair by a mile this year . Yes we won it in 21 but we did w little to no injuries and little to no course direction change over the season also.

Amazing to think we have had, for the majority of the season, no Brown, Tmac, fritsch and are sitting 2nd with a great percentage. it’s been a transitional year for us up forward and up to now we’ve been nothing but impressive.

If that diagnoisis is being accurately reported what's your sense of the recovery time he will need? Surely a player would lose a lot of fitness having to be off their foot for so long?
  9. This one’s for Andy. I’m a fellow MFCSS sufferer. So, How the hell do we hold the hope we now have re sitting in 2nd spot and everything to play for, alongside the despondency of losing our big power forward. We’re both doomed and at a high point at the same time.
  10. I think the emoji might say it all. 😪 Hoping that's just about Harry and not Frittata.
  11. Yeah I think i’m with you. Tempting to give grundy one last go though isn’t it.
  12. Healy on kayo, looking at it on replay thought it could well be the dreaded syndesmosis. ie 8 weeks. Anyway fingers crossed it’s not .. he’s a big cog in the wheel for us.
  13. Quite a few look a long way off it today. Kozi , Max, Chin , Viney keeping us in it. Geez Harmes looks a shadow of himself tho… it’s sad to see him like this. I think this is the last we’ll see of him.
  14. this is actually embarrassing …. they clearly have arrived utterly switched off. 🤬

I seem to remember an incident with Oliver and a blues fan that grabbed him years ago. and oliver was made to apologise!?

    now you’ve influenced the result.
  17. Just can’t see it being premiership points. It might have been if they had won though. I think it should be a first or second round draft picks and a huge fine with much of it suspended. ie 300k with 200k suspended taken from the soft cap.

if true this great news. I know you said it’s unconfirmed …but is the source someone you consider to be usually reliable?
  19. As a burnt and long time supporter I’m feeling a wave of caution here. I remember ( too clearly lol) When Glenn Swan debuted in 1973 at FF. We had a great reserves team and he was knocking the door down in 72. In his 5th game in the seniors he kicked 8 goals and I’m pretty sure Jim Tilbrook kicked 6 that day as well. Forward problems were over for a decade…we all thought. Swan did pretty much nothing for the rest of the year and quit at the end of the season. It was a great performance yesterday but let’s wait a few weeks to pop too many champagne corks.
  20. A question about future planning and How to work our Max cunundrum? playing Max solo seems like our best chance of winning another flag . Do we try to hold onto Grundy fr a cpl of years as back up. Will we even have a choice as he may well ask to leave. If this plays out as now increasingly expected , then any decent ruckman will also fear being stuck in the VFL and may not want to come to us. I’m loving the “ now” after a great win but how to plan ahead ?
  21. I saw that too. Almost like Dusty was explaining to McVee how to cover the territory better. Helping a first year player. I was impressed by that.
  22. Close fast game… but we’re missing v gettable goals. Trac looks tired.
  23. that’s why Harmes is done with us. I’d rather we try a dunstan. cannot kick worse
  24. hopefully not self inflicted!

Well put. There’s big multi year decisions to make this off season aren’t there. Mckay would be a mixed blessing… but so tempting! Personally im in the long term success bag vs immediate success. Hopefully we can do both. Once Tassie enters and, given that our facilities that may make attracting players more difficult if we’re falling , we just do not want to be dropping off too far at that time. The plight of West Coast is not something I want to ever see again at this club. Ultimately this club has done SO much right for a long time now…I feel I can trust good decisions will be made. Even if I disagree with them.
