  1. My eyes are on Richmond and Adelaide. They could both do us a solid this weekend.
  2. Walters out for them.
  3. This is the problem for most AFL supporters I reckon. The AFL views itself as being in direct competition with almost all other sports. As a result they’ve taken a very US centric ‘competition’ mindset - with a focus on growing the game with new audiences, and constantly staying in the headlines in order to block competitors from grabbing any media coverage. So that results in a media landscape that is overly sensationalistic, and/or overly simplistic. You mention Test Cricket, which I’d imagine isn’t viewed as a ‘gateway’ to the sport. That’s what T20 is. Sadly for us the AFL wants to be much more T20 in its approach.
  4. You’ve come to the wrong place.
  5. Calm down. It’s a one week suspension. The President has been very good.
  6. I believe Dimma told it to Bevo, and Bevo is in a Whatspp group with Tom Morris.
  7. Tell me what to panic about next!
  8. Why does it smell like that? He played out the last quarter and moved freely. Sometimes an injury gets worse once you cool down. Honestly after a loss it’s like some posters on here are rushing around to be the biggest Harbinger of doom.
  9. Listening to Nathan Buckley comment on how well Collingwood are playing is odd. Whats changed since they finished 17th Bucks - seeings it’s 90% the same list? Oh, you got sacked.
  10. Both teams have had 20 scoring shots. Honestly Collingwood’s second half has been pretty ordinary. Carlton have kicked 2.8 since half time.
  11. Moore has now taken the record for intercept marks. Carlton continue to kick the ball in the air forward.
  12. Ralph said Melbourne ‘aren’t saying’, but the word is that he’s done his hamstring. The fact we aren’t saying tells me that it’s not great news.
  13. You’re not known for your humility either.
  14. Vossy now coaching from the bench, just to confirm that it smells the same way as it looks.
  15. Well, to be fair, you’re not known for your optimism.
  16. Many said the same thing about us in round 10 last year.
  17. Am loving watching the Carlton runner out on the ground ’Vossy says be less [censored]’
  18. Well Carlton are horrible.
  19. As a working full time visual artist, with a background in design, most of the indigenous jumpers suffer from way too much going on, and a distinct lack of clarity and purpose. Just for context - Freo’s jumper was designed in conjunction with Alex Pearce, who is from Tassie. So Fremantle’s jumper literally had a map of Tassie on it. I really hope some of the clubs start going for one symbol. There’s heaps of cool First Nations visual language (hello Devil Snake). Be great to see it applied more confidently and with more clarity, and not just filling every literal centimetre of the jumper.
  20. Dees had a loss, and now Collingwood are on the TV. I’m predicting a lot of ‘Collingwood will kill us’ posts coming up.
  21. Yet somehow I would have found a way to love it.
  22. Security at the AFL is, on the whole, really nonsensical. There’s always tons around us, and Police standing at the end of the aisle - where it’s all Melbourne supporters with reserved seats. We all furiously agree with each other, so they serve no purpose - which I suspect they know and why they stand there. All cheer squads should have allocated security guards at each ground. It’s not hard to put people in to support them. It should be a prerequisite. @WalkingCivilWar this is a club matter. If they want our people to travel and support, they need to make their safety a priority.
