This Dangerous

Geelong's VFL team have much better basic skills than us. It's sad, but with a few injuries I reckon we would struggle against a lot of the better VFL teams. I'd be happy to pick up Byrnes. He's got experience, class and he can kick.

Hypothetical: We call their bluff and JV signs for GC for 2 years. 2 years pass and he wants to be traded to us. GC will absolutely roger us on any potential trade. Or he goes into the PSD and is snaffled up Footscray. The kid's a beast. Just get it done.

For some reason I picture this years Best & Fairest being attended by only Mark Neeld and the 4 players still contracted. They''ll just stand around awkwardly, drinking from plastic cups while a DJ plays "Things Can Only Get Better" by D:Ream.

I'm trying to see what odds are being offered for Spencer bagging the Coleman but so far my searches are coming up with nothing. . . But seriously, who would pick him up? He'll be 29. He wasn't tearing the VFL apart. You may get a year or two out of him . If you're a list manager surely you're more likely to to take a shot on a Tom Couch type who you may get a few years out of. I can't see what he could offer another club.

I will be very surprised if Beamer gets picked up by another club. If Brendan Fevola and Leon Davis aren't worth a spot on a teams list then what chance does a bloke who couldn't crack into the worst midfield of 2012 have? I reckon Jake Spencer has got more of a chance of winning the Coleman than Beamer playing AFL in 2013.

Jack Grimes. For a kid that previously had the injury resilience of Mr Burns he's not only stayed on the park, but played better as the season goes on.

I've heard that people are more likely to become addicted to poker machines and casinos if the have a big win the first time they try them. Is this the thinking for taking your daughter to this game? Because this was completely my theory for making my sons first game vs GWS. So far it's working. That being said he enjoys the AFL playground far more than the actual game or snackfood or merchandise. It's a start. How'd she like it Jarka?

I think he'll prove a handy edition to the squad. Against St. Kilda his ruck work was unspectacular, but solid. Interestingly he had no marks, but was second in the team (behind Tom McDonald) in 1percenters. I think he's a guy who's going to play a specific role without being a superstar. That's not a bad thing.

I have it on good authority from someone at the Demon Shop that Jack Watts killed both Biggie and Tupac.
