NON-MFC: Finals 2022 Week 01
If you don't tag Neale...otherwise not sure where they get any drive.

NON-MFC: Finals 2022 Week 01
Joey kicks the winning goal, until then just about BOG for the Tiges. Funny game football.

In Season - Loading/Periodisation: Put your conjecture here.
If we look fresh from here on does it matter?

Farewell Brodie Grundy
So on Monday David King had is top 10 rated players in finals over the last 5 years....I don't really rate his (Champion Data) ratings but for what it's worth Trac was 4, Clarry 5 & Grundy 6... Seems that Grundy might just have something to offer. edit: they had tp have played at least 5 finals. Of course Dusty was at 1.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Not me...but I get your point, there were many true believers.

Tom McDonald
100%...Tommy has to be able to give everything to be of value at AFL level. He doesn't have the class or skill to come in underdone. What he is, is a total effort player...if he can't bring that then we can't afford him in the team. He can get by on 72% or less at Casey where his ability and experience will carry him through.

POSTGAME: AFLW Rd 01 vs Adelaide
Looking at the pix of the surface before the game I thought it was an accident waiting to happen.

POSTGAME: AFLW Rd 01 vs Adelaide
One of my 2 favourites, unfortunately we won't get to see Eliza Mac playing this year but good to see her with the group singing the song at the end. ...Goldy is very important coming out of defence with her pace and physicality, apparently out for 3, so 2 more to go. ...and '@DeeSpencer', I reckon Blaith will be a beauty when she gets her chance.

Trade and Free Agency rumours
Ok, so you keep hinting that you have the inside word and there are personal reasons beyond the everyday homesickness/family excuse. Maybe you know, maybe you don't and someone is spinning you a story or maybe you are like another poster on here and spinning your own story. I don't really care. There won't be any hardball, it's not the way we do business...but we will expect a fair price. It would be reasonable to expect more than the pick 3 we gave up for him. How much more is where the negotiations will start.

A Pig, a Milkshake, a Nut and an All-Australian walk into a bar...
Whatever they're doing they should keep it up. Going on their last game Hibbo & Melk are in great form and May is a 2nd time AA.

Internal Practice Match.
Speak for yourself '58'...I was a pretty good wingman in my day.

What's next for Adem Yze?
They can do what they want... Personally I think a first time coach with experience is what they need. Adem fits the bill. ...but, they must get the off field stuff together. They have started the purge, will they have the fortitude to go all the way. From the outside looking in there are 2 political players that need moving on. Barham is well regarded & might just pull things together. Remember recent history where both Collingwood & Carlton seemed in disarray prior to the start of this season.

What's next for Adem Yze?
For what it's worth I think Lyon will coach EFC... If they get all the housecleaning done in the next few weeks then there could be a good opportunity there. Part of the housekeeping would be to move Sheedy off the board, but maybe that is too big an ask. Adem should have a good look if the opportunity presented for him. ...as much as I would hate to see him coach them.

2022 All Australian Team
That's good enough reason for me to turn the show off...

Tom McDonald
As a side note, I'm not sure if many noticed Melk & May hugging it out after the final siren in the Carlton game.
-
Tom McDonald
I think Melk knows he's playing for his sporting life and he 'aint going nowhere without a fight.

Tom McDonald
As strange as it seems adding Tommy and keeping Melk does make us top heavy...so if he comes in it's to replace a ruck, BB or Melk...can't take out a mid/small. Also you would have to wonder if he would have the endurance to run as he used too...he's been off legs for a fair time and no amount of other cardio can make up for miles in the legs...
-
Tom McDonald
Would make us too top heavy and mess with our forward structure plus Tom just doesn't have enough football under his belt so would make it even worse.

Tom McDonald
Listening to Richo on Saturday morning I got the feeling that Tommy is "break glass in case of emergency"... I doubt we will see him against Sydney but if we lose that game or get a key injury then he will come into the frame.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Agree dazz', I think he's a good kid and would love to keep him. At least he's invested in the now which is great. The rest will sort itself out in time.

Farewell Luke Jackson
As I posted on the trade thread, it's only a fact when he's gone Sam...

Trade and Free Agency rumours
Pre injury Howes wasn't looking that great...he was ok at times. Ofter he looked/looks lost out on the park and doesn't appear a natural reader of the play which you have to be to play a wing. If we can get Amon I would be all in. We have a window of opportunity over the next 2 to 3 years and we need to take it. Howes may or may not come on...time will tell.

The Luck of the Draw
Wow...I just said exactly the same when I read this a minute ago 'Deenooos'. Sydney, Richmond & Geelong have not really been tested. Nearly forgot Collingwood. Lets see how this pans out for them in the finals

Harrison Petty incident
That and a shorter game...
