  1. That's been the issue... Yes, he would have been fit to compete ...but he hasn't been competitive Would he have come good in a big final? I guess those that should know thought not
  2. The club could really learn al lot from Taylor Swift... Now they're probably not going to get an audience with her or her people but that could track her career from the start. Her fan engagement was 2nd to none. It's why she is so successful and has such a rusted on fan base. Her talent of course helps, if she was a no talent no amount of fan engagement would help. ...but she did is so well. We really are wasting a golden period for the club. The management needs to be brought to account on this.
  3. I said sustained success 'picket'...Glitter has had nowhere near the career. She's been topping the charts for over 15 years now. Personally I don't like stadium shows at all...much prefer more intimate venues with musicians really playing, taking chances and not just regurgitating the record. She''s not my cup of tea is Taylor but the girl has got a load of talent.
  4. '@hardtack', you just reminded me of this after mentioning Ian Hunter on another post. He released a new album last year...84 yo, this was the first song released (Ringo on drums). Reckon it would have been a hit back in the days when such things existed. It's a strong album with lots of interesting guests and the title Defiance - Part 1 hints of more to come.
  5. Of course she's good 'picket'... You don't have her level of sustained success if you're not.
  6. Be interesting to know why??? She's here 16th 17th & 18th... The only work day is Friday. I don't think the shop would hinder the sound check. Is it some kind of merch deal? can't sell any other merch apart from Taylor stuff over a given time?
  7. Looking at the fixture if both clubs are top 4 then your a good chance for a Friday game. ...but C/Wood are away to GC so I wouldn't be surprised to see them take the game. The poor little...don't travel much. Carlton/Richmond is another if they are up and about. ...but being Carlton, the AFL seem to love them on a Friday night even if the aren't.
  8. Someone said the club monitors this site. Pity they don't take action in a positive manner.
  9. Christian Salem - Battled a thyroid injury injury???? Also wouldn't have thought Tholstrup was a needs based selection
  10. We should have a good idea sometime around the end of September 2024...
  11. The scoreboard is the the ultimate judge 'BBP', they were the best team on the day (night in this case).
  12. I think that's a key point... The big match winning moves of yesteryear are very rare in the current game. Structures are seen as more important & they break down quickly if you introduce inconsistencies... It doesn't mean that more subtle moves aren't made. An example would be our supposedly inflexible coach using Oliver to tighten up on Bont in the GF.
  13. This you don't know at all...and it's one thing I don't like on this forum. People saying Goody is this, Goody is that...he's stuck in his ways. When we win it's because of the assistants, when we lose it's Goody's fault. It's all BS, we don't know the mind of the coach, we don't know what goes on at selection and we don't know the machinations on match day. We're all guessing and opining. Now for my opinion. I have said this before also. I would have made the change, I don't think Tommy was giving us much at all. Would it have changed the result? We will never know, but probably not. Schache had shown us nothing in previous games to make us believe he would have taken marks and kicked goals. Particularly in a big final. I think he was only there as coverage for Max if he went down. ...and we were well in the game, why take the chance with Schache. It could have backfired. The other thing we don't know is whether Tom was fulfilling a particular role they didn't believe Josh could do. ...but from the outside looking in, I would have made the change.
  14. He's articulated himself...and of course they are his opinions. I'm not asking you to go through his reasons for those opinions, he's done that well enough for himself. I was interested in why you think leaving Schache on the bench cost us a win.
  15. This is one of those things that can't be proven either way. 'Nudge' doesn't believe it cost us and makes good points to back up his reasons. Why do you think it cost us? On previous form I'm not sure that Schache was the difference.
  16. If he keeps putting pressure on and performing at training there is plenty of way he can play on a wing.
  17. Unfortunately true 'Macca'...
  18. I agree 'dazz'... He might not have the elite endurance of Holland but he does have it over him in skill and pace. There's a spot there for him.
  19. Langdon had a down season. It happens. Doesn't mean he's going to have a down season this year. I think he will be back at his best. ...but at this stage we're all guessing.
  20. You're right 'dazz', but he has spent some time in the ruck for GWS.
  21. I think you probably have the halfest empty glass on demonland... ...but it could be a stiff competition.
  22. Judging by training reports over the last month maybe he's not the ruck back up. ...anyway, he's definitely not now. Verrall seems ahead at least in ruck terms anyway. If we get someone on the long term injury list (and it may be Fullarton) perhaps we can pick up another ruck.
  23. Don't tell 'old dee'...
  24. Just been listening to Mark's albums tonight. Great records...pity he didn't do more.
