I don't like it either. But in a thin draft he maybe Good for rookie spot.

Was reported by SEN that Col is a free agent and will be heading back to the Dees. If this is true, pay him base rate and make him earn his spot.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
Demonsterative replied to Theo's topic in Melbourne Demons
Can't believe ppl are talking about an upgrade on Terlich, Matt Jones and McKenzie. Surely our trading period/strategy is aiming higher. melksham has been held back from a toxic club (Essendon). Therefore he is an unfulfilled talent. I have trust in our current crop of recruiters and coaches. Watch this space me thinks....... -

For the right price, bring it on! -
Yeah borderline 2nd or 3rd. Freeman has had many injury issues. We need a midfielder with a good turn of pace. I'd trust Misson to get him right,
-
Nathan Freeman and Collingwood's 2 nd rounder for Howe may get it done.

I've been watching some replays on Foxtel recently and I have been impressed with Watts work rate. He ain't a monster, but his run and attack was A LOT better than previous years. Roos has instilled some confidence in him IMO. The other thing I've noticed is when Watts is getting the ball, we score at a much better rate than when he isn't getting the ball. In previous years I alwaays felt that Jack was too worried at making mistakes or doing things wrong. In the few replays I've seen recently, he is working hard without fear. He will only get better. Particularly now we have ball hunters who will get the ball to him.

Love the choices made by the Coaching group. I also love the playing group having a say in these choices. It says to me that the whole FD are making some good choices regarding who will bring this club forward. Dunn has been a whipping boy by supporters at this club. He has turned this around with some very good development and performances on field. Well deserved choice. It speaks volumes of how he has turned his career around. Dunny also stuck fat with this club by signing another contract. Kudos Dunn! Two of the three recycled players had choices to which club they went to. They choose the D's. Therefore they are hardly recycled players who came to the worst performed club in recent history for more game time.

In the absence of a 'real business model', a business will fail. As has already been pointed out, the Debt Demolition project eliminated debt. As massive pass mark on this strategy. Seriously, how can raising 5 million dollars be seen as poor, soft or bad strategy!!!
-
This fundraising event was called 'Debt Demolition'. it was always used as strategy to reduce/eliminate debt, therefore very successful at the time. I don't see the club using this strategy as an ongoing way to keep the clubs bottom line intact. This strategy was so successful the club used the same strategy again, with more success. Others have pointed out some of the hurdles this club faces. All relevant and hard hitting to the clubs bottom line. The MFC thought outside the square and tapped into the clubs richest supporters. I see the Liberal Party, Labor Party and other political parties doing the same. Are they soft for doing this? I don't think so. Welfare agencies live off donations. They use the same model by tapping into rich companies. Its an economic strategy commonly used. In my opinion, the club was very creative and a fore runner by using this strategy. As I said, other clubs have used the same model after the success of 'Debt Demolition'
-
Fundraising via donations is a legitimate and relevant way to make money. its not a soft option. its not a poor strategy. The fact is this fund-raising exercise has made millions of dollars for the club that can only be seen as a good thing. The MFC tapped into a resource and milked for all it could. Footscray rattled tins on the streets and roads that in effect helped save their club. Other clubs have used the same strategy to varying success using the same successful model the MFC used.

Cant recognise what Scully did wrong??? Congratulations BB, you just failed a Psych test. Absolutely, no big surprise here

There is no satisfying some people. This site gets alot of traffic at this time of year to hear news, rumours and innuendo of what is happening. They get the news, don't like it and turn feral as a result. GNF will reveal what he knows as he said. Until then relax. If GNF disappears next year, you will complain that no news is coming thru. Many of us are thankful for the rumours. If you don't like it. Then shut up. Your ruining or running ppl like GNF off this site.
-
If the Crows are interested then maybe the Danger rumour may be true.
-
If the out come exceeds the loss, I'm happy to lose Jack. If Danger comes for Pick 3 and watts its a big win for the club. If we get pick 12 for Trenners and get Mitchell its another win for the club.
-
Thus why I consider you as, well, boring and some what annoying.! I could not give a rats regarding your self stated importance to this club, and your previous attempts to become a board member. Seriously BB, your akin to the 'Bible Belt' of the USA. Overly conservative and have an over sense of self.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HERITIER LUMUMBA

Funny how the media has picked up on the strange behaviour of The Prince. The Prince may know how to play the game (AFL), but questions have been asked about his behaviour by the experts. Maybe the Nay Sayers have a point. There is much more to this game than game day! -

It's not what HL says, it's how he says it. He seems a little bitter and twisted.
