I was wandering if anybody knew much about the contract status of our current crop of Coaches? I know Neeld is into his 2nd year of a 3 year contract, does anybody know how long is left on the other coaches such as Craig, Misson, Rawlings ect? Just a bit antsy as it would hurt if any of them were to leave or be poached by other clubs.

I think we need to try players such as Viney, Jones or Sylvia tagging. If either of them can tag a player then we should be sweet as they already naturally have the attacking flair to counter when needed. Sure Mckenzie is a good tag but I think that it would be easier to teach an attacking mid to tag rather then teach a tagger how to become an attacking mid.

So whose whinged about young players on a saturday? I seen people voice opinion in Jordie Mckenzie in a Jordie Mckenzie thread if thats your definition of whinging?

Ahh so thats why your reading/writing in it.Nice logic. Simple solution would be not to click on it then read it then try to make a smartass comment. Some people need to find better things to do then spending their saturdays whinging about threads on DL.

Appreciate the backup but i am not too fussed about mild critiism of a thread title. Though it was intended to bring BP into the convo more then it has. 2 pronged title. That said I do likr Tapscott as he does bring something to the squad when we are down, thgh sadly i am worried he will be one of those players that do struggle to kick it up to that extra level when in AFL. I also think that his playing style makes him more injury prone then many other players and am concerned that Viney may be the same with the physicality he brings. It is hard to become a good player when you cant string a pre season and 10-15 games together

When we have a tagger we are instantly behind 1 by 1 attacking player. Center square ball ups can be 3 v 4 or 2v4 (Jamar doesn't help much after the tap). I can guarantee Mckenzie's opponents have gotten way more center square clearances then he has.

How is that suggesting that we should cut players? It is stating a risk.

He is a nice to have player, bring him in on specific games to do a role. A role which is not needed in every game. Clean possession is needed in everygame. Taggers who do nothing else are only needed in the occasional game I thinks

You would prefer no threads? Hardworking mids do not win u games if they 0 attacking capabilities.

Got plenty of fringe mids such as Couch, Evans, Taggart, Magner, Kent who I think will contribute more. Mckenzies get to the ball 2nd gameplan dosn't do it for me.

Should he be in our first 22? Personally I think he is a nice to have player which should only come in when taggers are needed specifically for superstar mids like Ablett and Cotchin. No superstar mid = no McKenzie

Why do you love him? He is yet to prove himself in my opinion

Wanted to see peoples thoughts on Luke, so far in my opinion he has not made the grade. Sure it is good to add some brute and mongrel in the team but if they are unable to effect the actual scoreline by doing it then I do not see much point to having it in the team. I know he has had some injuries however so has many other players such as Blease, Evans and Jetta who are showing obvious signs of putting in the hard yards to make the cut. I hope he can turn things around this year because I think if he doesn't then Trenners may be at risk of losing his mate.

I want to see more of Kent, i think he can push for a role as a forward or a dangerous sub. Tapscott really needs to pick up his game this year.
