  1. Dont like people making excuses about who was not playing. End of the day our depth players need to still know how to win games as we will probably never have our best 22 on the field any week of the year. We will always have injuries so we need to learn how to win when players are injured rather then using it as an excuse for losing.
  2. Lets just hope Pederson out plays Gysberts
  3. We should make a play for Dustin Martin. Lyon was saying that Richmond may be forced to trade out Martin at the end of the year. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-03-15/martin-at-trade-risk-lyon?utm_medium=RSS He would add the mongrel and x factor our midfield so desperately needs and I think that the MFC are more then capable of making a play for him. I mean Richmond love our rejects so they would go head over heels for a non reject MFC player in return (Or a first round draft pick)
  4. Mystery Injury of the week http://www.heraldsun.com.au/afl/more-news/melbourne-father-son-recruit-jack-viney-to-play-in-opener/story-e6frf9jf-1226596694686?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+HeraldSunAflMelbourne+%28Herald+Sun+|+AFL+-+Melbourne%29 Didn't hear anything anywhere about this neck injury until now.
  5. Might want to elaborate on why it is an ignorant/unfair comment. I am sure I could find some articles with Trengove directly quoting that he over adjusted the defensive side of his game and lost the attacking flair a bit. Also explain how a trade re Hogan/Dawes has any relevance to our midfield and its defensive mindset?
  6. Sorry, just got the impression people were implying that their should be in a sence when talking about his background and such.
  7. I think he is in the wrong sport and should've taken up NRL where he can tackle to his hearts content and do not need skills to get the ball forward. Nethetheless we have him now so we should milk the most out of him, whether in the AFL or VFL. That said I think he would be best use as a run off interchange player. Not a starting 18 player. Keep him on the bench and once it is obvious one of our mids is solidly being beaten by an opponent then bring him on to equal out that said contest.
  8. I am with mjt here. I think all people should abide by the same rules. I do not agree with different set of rules and laws based on the color of your skin.
  9. Good argument but end of the day I don't think he would be as bang-for-buck as Eddie. I remember Carlton were asking their players to take pay-cuts last year so they could try get Cloke. The more pressure put on them financially the better.
  10. Pathetic logic. Puts down one comment with no justification then rambles on about something that is unrelated. Someone didn't get enough attention growing up.
  11. 1. I said arguably the best which meant it depends how you interpret it. Betts would be better in a sence that he has more years ahead of him and more to deliver in the future then Milne. 2. You would need to be blind freddy to see that we are not desperate for a good small forward. 3. Cool 4. Feel free to see how 2013 pans out, nobody is forcing you to read/post on these threads.
  12. ? Your talking down to me about voicing an opinion because why? You feel good putting fellow supports down i take it. *Clap Clap* Good one champ. You might get a medal one day Also I did not mention anything to do with Dawes, Hogan ect trade so i got no idea why you are rambling on about it after quoting me.
  13. I am worried same thing that happened to Trengove will happen to Viney. Neeld and co will force a defensive mindset onto him and he will have no attacking flair. Like the rest of our mids.
  14. And will be cheaper, is a Free agent and fills a hole in our list. I dont see rioli as fililng a gap as he will just be another mid/forward which we already have plenty of (Sylvia, Blease, Howe, Kent, Tapscott, Davey, Toumpas ect)
  15. Personally I rate Betts higher then Rioli, he gets more goals and has less injuries.
  16. We did well last year so I am sure we ll do well again. We don't have much to lose and alot to gain this year really. We should also try to leverage a trade using Sylvia.
  17. Arguably the best small forward in the game. He is a FA end of this year and is only 26, with Davey most likely calling it a day at the end of this season I think that we should make a play for him. He would fill a gaping hole and would give us one of the most dangerous forward lines in the game with Hogan, Dawes, Clark, Betts with some of our quick mids resting. Even if we don't get him we can force Carlton to pay overs, make them regret paying Mclean what they do.
  18. Id also be tempted to put pressure on D Martin by offering up Sylvia and our first and 2nd rounder. Long shot but why not. Him and Hogan in the team next year. God damn!
  19. Betts is FA also. Throw money at him. Fills a gaping hole
