I love blokes that get stuck into Green with the benefit of hindsight. I recall reading several threads both here and on Demonology and many of the well known posters of both sites were all for Green as Captain. Everyone suggesting him as he was the most experienced etc and that there were really no other options. A clever few suggested Moloney but the majority provided opposition to that thought. 12 months have passed and now we all think Beamer is the man. He should have been given the gig before Green. Anyone that has watched Greeny from day dot could see that club leader and captain was not a role that was going to be something that came naturally to him. He has always been a great player for us but when the chips were down he was never the one to throw a bit of mongrel and rally the troops. Maybe we don't have anyone at the club at this stage that fits that mould, but surely Beamer is the closest we got. It was a mistake appointing him last year and I expect Neeld to totally overhaul the leadership team based on what he sees over the next four months.

This guy is an absolute ripper. No wonder G Lyon was so addament about getting this bloke. He simply does not give a stuff about reputations or being mates with the players, he just wants to see the MFC and its players perform at an elite standard. He pulls no punches and I bloody love it!Each time I have heard him interviewed, be it on radio or via print media, he tells it exactly as it is. Whether he will have a game plan and so forth remains to be seen. But one thing is certain, he will drill the [censored] out of these blokes all summer so come rd 1 they are in better shape physically than ever before. Keep it up Neeldy! I concur. We have enough intelligent supporters that clearly listen to this bloke, call him up and dress him down. He thinks he can walk all over us coz most of the time our fans bite their tongues when someone takes the [censored]. Enough is enough.

Here is another idea, text or call SEN and have a go yourself. No good coming on this forum and crying about it. Take it up with this bafoon. I have called in and called him out before and he skirts the issue. Make his look silly. I am sick of reading our club forums and hearing people whinge about this bloke, but none of our supporters ever phone up and make a storm. Part of the reason he attacks us I reckon! You are obviously all listening. Make a stand!

I will be more optimistic after i see our form in the NAB cup. The way i look at it atm is that we are playing 7 out of tlast year's top 8 sides in the first 12 weeks. Unless we have a huge turnaround in form over summer, I expect we will lose all 7 of those. Now, what we cannot determine at this stage is how other teams will be travelling. Unknowns like 'will St Kilda fall away' etc cannot be answered right now. We had the saints this year when they were wobbly and didn't get the job done. I appreciate your optimism and hope you are right, but I don't like the look of the first half of the season. If we don't win many early on, the confidence goes.

What fantasy land are you living in Kento? How is Eagles away in rd2 anything to smile about? Then we will have the weary legs rd 3 against Tiges and lose, we haven't beaten Dogs or Saints in a long time, being at the G might help. We do not get a bye after Darwin, so expect to drop the 3 after that. I might be a pessimist but i see nothing i like in this draw. We should of at least had the bye after Darwin.

We will only have 4 wins at rd13 though! Horror first half. Hawthorn, Collingwood, Wet Coke (in Perth), Sydney (SCG), Carlton and Geelon (in Geelong). Be prepared people. By the half way mark we will be bottom 4 no doubt about it. Only wins i see before our bye are Brisbane, Richmond, Footscray, Essendon and maybe St Kilda at the 'G'. Most of these are 50/50 at best at the moment anyway. We could be in for a mare in the first half of 2012. FML

I would have thought the midfield will rotate more this year under the new coaches. I can see it being a more 'horses for courses' approach. I think we have a good mix of guys who can run through the midfield. Some may forget the form of Bail and to a lesser extent Nicho before their injuries. For me the midfield could consist of any of the following guys: Moloney Sylvia Trengove Gysberts Jordie Jones Bail Nicholson Tapscott Blease Grimes Petterd Howe and just maybe.... Bate At least we have options. I think Neeld will be looking very closely at these guys over preseason to see what he has to work with. Should be an interesting time come rd 1 NAB cup.

I watched 186 live on Australia Network in Koh Samui. Was there over a month and there was football on every weekend. Most bars in tourist areas were showing AFL and NRL.

I would think that if we are going okay by that stage of the season there will be a fair interest in this game. I imagine all Dee's supporters will be eager to get along and vent some spleen at $kullky. I imagine there may be a little neutral interest too. However, agree that there is no way this is a 'marquee' game.
