  1. Did you know that swearing actually reduces the feeling of pain and increases pain tolerance? Give him a break, it’s not like he wasn’t doing them.
  2. Our form in the last month is comfortably beating two of the other three teams in the top 4, beating probably the hottest and most hyped team in the league and a disappointing loss. It’s pretty good form, to be fair.
  3. I don’t get this. I’d far rather play Brisbane in the finals than Geelong, even away.
  4. They kind of have, 11 times
  5. Unless Geelong win of course, which given the game is in Geelong is a pretty big possibility
  6. Do a ladder predictor sometime and see where you land
  7. Geelong, Brisbane and the Bulldogs, AKA the rest of the top four, haven’t been able to. Or Richmond
  8. Oh come on. We’ve won 11 games for goodness sake. You can’t win every week it’s just not realistic.
  9. Yes. Absolutely.
  10. No big deal. Ready for a bye.
  11. Yeah true I suppose
  12. Jordan Lewis was pushed out the door. It’s a completely different situation. You’re talking about approaching Pendlebury and convincing him to come here. Not going to happen.
  13. We traded for him expecting Tom McDonald to be gone or in the 2s. Not sure where you’ve been hiding if you don’t know that.
  14. I’d have Maynard over any of the first three in a heartbeat. Joel Smith has proven he isn’t up to the grade at the least, whereas at least Maynard has smashed it for years in a top 4 team
  15. The odds of that are zero. He’s the games record holder for captains at Collingwood. There’s no way he’s going anywhere, childhood dreams or not.
  16. I have to admit, I think I misread the original post and thought it said Hibberd wasn’t a lockdown defender. Not sure it did in hindsight
  17. Did you miss Hibberd schooling Dusty Martin?
  18. Maybe 100-200. But at that price and in the context, Daniher was a better bet for them
  19. Gee, half the backline is pretty impressive
  20. Nope Sam Mitchell is next. Hawthorn’s problem is that Mitchell is out of contract and wants to coach next year, but Clarkson is contracted until end of next year. They’d never say it, but Hawthorn would absolutely love Clarkson to leave to avoid having to choose between sacking a 4x premiership coach and potentially losing their next one.
  21. Depends what a reasonable portion means I guess. Collingwood are paying $300k of Treloar’s this year and that’s about the most extreme example you’ll ever see. I doubt we felt under pressure enough to pay anything like that so anybody taking Tommy wouldn’t be saving that much. I guarantee if he was out of contract and someone could have got away with paying him $400-500k he’d be gone. For what it’s worth aren’t we all glad he isn’t!
  22. Fooled them alright. That was a blatant block but the AFL loves scoring so I’m sure the umps are told to ignore those.
