I agree with you re the tanking - though I don't like any part of it - however small . The NBA have a lottery system ( as you know ) and there is very little tanking talk - a simple solution but it may never happen in the AFL cos of the aversion to anything American . What has "Vlad" said over and over again - "There is no such thing as tanking" - what a joke ! Yeah , as ya said - top line up of games this week - wish I could watch them all ! Might be some "trap" games in there - there usually is ! The Packers , Pats , Eagles and Saints still need to bring their A games this week .

Mostly current day stuff with a bit of retro thrown in. I'll try and post a song whenever I can. Nearly all the songs I post will have charted well as singles. I'm mainly into mainstream rock. Including Messi of course . Interestingly La Liga has 13 players nominated , the EPL has 4 , Serie A and the Bundesliga have 2 each . Not many upsets last week though the Rams had a great win over the Saints ( who were never really in it ) And KC's win was a bit of a surprise though I thought they played really well - how's that fumbled snap by Philip Rivers ? Who da thunk it ! Yeah , as others have posted it's a mystery why ONEhd aren't doing the NFL live but if ya can hang out till 11.30pm Monday they will show the 49ers @ Washington followed by the Giants @ New England at 2.45am ! The Giants are a bit banged up at the moment and San Francisco should win . For Foxtel viewers the 5am game is the Bucs at New Orleans then at 8.15am it's my team the Packers at San Diego - might have to have one of those mystery 4 hour viruses so I can watch it live !! SNF features the Ravens @ Pittsburgh - this should be a beauty - one of the biggest rivalry's going and always a tough contest hey ! MNF is the Bears @ Philadelphia - another good match up though the Eagles are starting to fire . It's a good round of games with a couple of "bottlers" in the Jets @ Buffalo and Cinci @ Tennessee , and you'd reckon that Houston will beat Cleveland at home and KC should take care of Miami at home as well . The "tanking" talk in the states is gaining momentum - would have thought they'd have a lottery system by now ( like the NBA ) It's looking like it's gonna be the Colts or Miami that will get Andrew Luck - both teams have a lot of "loseable" games ! Yeah , Philadelphia spanked the 'boys on SNF - Dallas just didn't turn up - disappointing game for the neutral fan , but you'd be happy ! As A Packers the fan it's the Giants and the Eagles that worry me the most though my team should have home field advantage this time . Can't see a wildcard coming out of this division so the Eagles are gonna have to win it . The Giants have a really tough run though and it's too early to discount Dallas completely , The Redskins will provide nuisance value . Whoever wins the NFC East will be dangerous in the playoffs you'd reckon . Cheers

Just watched the replay - again ! That was one hell of a game - Has to go down in folklore . Especially if the Cardinals go on to win the whole thing ! 8 hours to game 7 ! Can't wait - C'mon Carpenter - " Do the Business !" ( even though I'm a Redsox fan ! )

Yeah , Vick vs Romo is a classic duel ! 9 wins might win this division and your blokes could easily be lying 4 / 2 instead of 2 / 4 . Nearly always the best Division to watch btw - This game is so vital for both teams - and what's the odds there is some 4th quarter game-changing interception ?

I follow the Packers but not with any great fanatacism - I reserve that for the Demons and the Australian Cricket Test Team ! Just really like watching NFL games full stop - And KC's home games are great to watch with that "Sea of Red" I give your team a real chance this week against the Bolts ( A traditional foe ) Should be a "Barnburner" ! Green Bay have a bye this week then we're at San Diego so can ya soften em up for us !

Greg Chappell is the best batsman I've seen though Punter is a wonderful player Interesting criteria that was used including (I think) entertainment value ( or such like ) Would have loved to have seen Keith Miller play as he "had it all" by all accounts ! You've got the top 3 right - hard to argue with that trio .

Thanks for that old dee Melbourne could be on foxtel a fair bit , though I reckon 7 will have predominantly Victorian team match ups - for ratings purposes . It's probably going to come down to how many times we're drawn against interstate teams . I was a bit surprised to hear Eddie's name connected to Foxtel - If he calls games it probably won't involve Collingwood as they're nearly always on free to air . Cheers

Herald Sun are reporting that Eddie will be the new face of Foxtel - Is this new ? I hadn't heard it before . It's mentioned in the "Mick Malthouse to join Channel 7" story . Sort of makes it even more of a competition between the 2 AFL providers doesn't it ?

SNF this week features Dallas @ Philadelphia - big divisional rivalry game with both teams seeming to have similar 4th quarter problems . A lot of the tv games this year have been mismatch's which is a shame cos there's nothing like an NFL game going down to the wire . MNF this week is goodin as well with San Diego at KC - Can't wait for both The Foxtel games don't do much for me this week though the "Tim Tebow" factor vs Detroit might be interesting . Yeah the British Bands were the Kings - esp that psychedelic / progressive rock era - Small faces , Badfinger , Procol Harum , Moody Blues - too many to mention - fantastic era for Rock

I was just a tad too young for a lot of the sixties bands stuff - which is a shame really cos it was a great era - though Thorpie , The Easybeats , Chain and lots of others are firmly etched in the memory - How about "The Groove" - Australia's 1st "Supergroup ! "
