I got the exacta in the first so I'm up and running, Gorg Was only going to have a bet in the $500k event but the fields aren't too shabby and I'm having a day on the couch so why not! Savatoxl has been included by Steve so there's some value in the exotics if successful (including the exacta)
-
Or we could pluck the eyes out of all the choices I'm probably going to box 5 in an exacta and hope that my value/roughie choices can run in the first 2!!
-
Yeah they run from the shoot at Sale so only one turn over the 1100m/1200m (like Caulfield & Pakenham) And Lombardo has drawn well where as a few others have to work across to get onto the speed (notably In the Boat & Savatoxl) Lombardo is included! I'm going to include 'In the Boat' but 'Vainstream' is good value - ran a slick time winning 2 starts back ... at Sale!
-
Yeah I'd say so ... vaguely remember betting at Ascot (WA) previously on GF Including Sale today of course with $500k 'Country Discovery' A more than decent field too ... an exotic bet or a same race multi beckons! Thoughts? @Gorgoroth@Mr Steve@Dee Zephyr

The jockey (Alana Kelly) can claim 2kgs on Point Nepean

Same to you, DZ. Happy Easter! And I had Grandslam picked out as well ... J Kah just needs to get the horse into a nice position in the running (with cover) ... possibly 5th or 6th one-out from the fence (?) Seems a real progressive type Gorg ... drawn nicely for a good run on the speed. Can stalk 'Point Nepean' with a 3.5kg advantage in the weights (and over 2400m, that's significant)

2 best bets in so far and the place multi is already starting to show a bit of value (the win multi as well of course) There is some real value around at Sydney & Melbourne ... just a matter of getting a few collects so as to at least break even
-
Best Bet Saturday Caulfield R4 #12 Mamounia 6.00/1.90

Last big day at Randwick is where we've traditionally finished up on the best bets for the Autumn ... couple of big races too with the 'All Aged' & the 'Champagne St' Hopefully we can finish off with 4 winners!! You never know!
-
Yep ... if you mention a horse in that way you've always got to have something on it Even just 10 @ 50-1 is all it would have taken I'm kicking myself!
-
Well it was but we know that Think it Over isn't great in really heavy going so the trainer & jockey might have thought that they had nothing to lose by going down the extreme outside ... it just took off left! But it caught everyone out and was a brilliant plan anyway ... $2.3Million to the connections and you can bet that Nash Rawiller will get a decent 'sling' haha

Shouda, Couda, Wouda! Ugh!!
-
The money has come for Anamoe ... into 4.20 now but the 3yo is going to have to bring its absolute best (I'm happy with the $6 I got)
-
I'm on it as well ... great minds and all that, Steve
-
That's right up there in the 'best-of' trade results, radar But us trading up to get Oliver and the 'Strategic planning' to acquire Jackson were masterstrokes ... those off-season surgeries sure paid off leading into the 2019 season Trading up to get Bowey is another ... who is to say that he doesn't become a premier on-baller later on? Did he not spend his junior days as a midfielder?
-
So the 3 picks combined in a multi win bet is showing a dividend of about 100-1 And any of the 3 doubles is offering at least 18-1 The 3 picks in a place multi adds up to about 6-1 (with a boost) Value all round For those who look to the colours for luck, we've got the Red & Blue covered (Mazu & Anamoe) and for good measure we've got the Green & Gold covered (Intellective) Good luck punters
-
Was just talking to a mate about the race ... worth $4Million and it's a stellar field. Cox Plate-like Horses like Dalasan, Montefilia, Think it Over & I'm Thunderstruck are all more than decent and can all get into the finish (given a good run) Anyway, go the Demons tonight! We should win
-
If Weideman continues to strive & fight for the front position (as he did against Essendon) he will make it and become a regular fixture in the seniors He has all the other attributes, he's athletic, he can take a mark and he's a good kick It won't bother me (or the MC I suspect) if he ends up running under the ball occasionally whilst playing in front. But 2nd or 3rd in line for the mark doesn't work I wish him all the best as we'd all like to see him succeed

Yep, and the whining and constant moaning about McGowan is born out of petty jealousy & envy in my view. It's as if these types wanted WA to share our lockdowns, mask wearing and over run hospitals. And every State closed their borders when it suited as well. So we can do it but not WA? Hypocrisy, contradiction & an inconsistent argument often reigns supreme when it comes to these matters NZ stopped nearly all international flights for a decent period of time ... didn't see anyone complaining about their stance either Nothing to do with left or right wing politics either. Taken on face value he managed to keep covid out of his State and thus saved hundreds of lives. Perhaps 1000's of lives were saved. Kudos to the bloke Landslide victory resulted as well (53 seats to 4) so the people of WA love the bloke I do not lean left or right with politics so McGowan could be the leader of the Liberal party and it wouldn't change my opinion And let's not forget that the same people who stand behind McGowan also got behind our team in the finals. They acted like a normal Demons crowd (which was stunning) And the timing of their inevitable opening up coincided with Omicron being the dominant variant. So less deaths and less ICU patients than the Delta variant (?) There's the odd anti-vaxxer who has taken a different stance over there but they are part of a small minority group

How about a 4 pronged trade result that went a long way towards helping the team win a premiership ... and maybe another flag or 2 as a result With astute trading that covered a number of seasons we converted Hogan, Watts & Tyson into Sparrow, Ben Brown, May & Fritsch In the Hogan trade we received pick 23 (Sparrow) and pick 6 (May) We also gave up pick 65 (a negligible pick) For Watts we received pick 31 (used on Fritsch ... still only 25 years old with 6 goals in a GF) And for Tyson we received Preuss in exchange ... we later traded Preuss for a 2nd round draft pick. And in that same trade period we acquired Ben Brown for a 2nd round draft pick (around about the same pick number as what we received for Preuss) And that's apart from trading and nailing all sorts of other picks from the 2012 off season onwards The net result is something that we can rightfully be quite proud of Probably one of the best rebuilds on record ... especially when we consider where we started off - ground zero?

Well, I've decided to go with class in a class race ... might pay off but as you said, it's a very strong field. Think it Over is 40-1!! But Anamoe's recent form in the heavy is very good as well so it's a real show Might get better than 5-1 for Anamoe if the money comes for Duais & Zaaki (and Verry Elleegant)

Best Bet Saturday Randwick R8 No.9 Anamoe 6.00/1.70

The last 15 encounters against the Pies (in finals) 14 & 1 W/L record Overall might be 16-5-1 5 times we've exacted the 2nd Semi/GF double over the Pies and our overall GF record against Collingwood is 6 & 1
